After buying shitty gloves for the past 2 years I want to get something with a bit better wrist support for Muay Thai sparring and bag work.

I've narrowed it down, looking at costs etc. so these are the only 2 I'm considering right now and I want to know what your experiences are with any.

Thanks

I would buy Boon instead.

You would have to order them from Thailand, but they are better.

If only Twins vs. Sandee, then Twins imo. Good gloves, good padding.

I have sandee gear and really like it. Been using it for a few months now with no problems.

However, I have never tried twins gear so I can't make a comparison but i've heard good things about them.

Thanks. I'm only considering UK postage as can't be arsed with waiting weeks and it's not like I fight for a living.

From what I can tell they're pretty similar. If you want top notch Thai gloves get the Fairtex. Otherwise I'd go with Twins, you know what you're getting with Twins. Sandee can be so and so depending on what model you're getting. Moreso than Twins.

Yeah just ordered some twins from here after speaking to them http://www.martialartshop.co.uk/twins-bg5-boxing-gloves/ they were a bit cheaper than Fightstore.

Tried some Twins on yesterday at training but no Sandee were available but I'd heard good things about them. Fairtex were a bit more expensive and felt huge on.

Yeah, a lot of people use those Twins in our gym, they're great overall training gloves that will last long. Good for bag work, sparring as well. Twins quality is also nice. Best bang for your buck.

Glad you found some and for cheaper which is always a bonus.

I did tell a lie though I have twins thai pads so I have tried their gear (just not their gloves which is what I meant) haha and twins stuff is great quality and lasts long.

I won't assume you found this comparison thread between Twins, Fairtex and Sandee so here it is

boxing-gloves-review-and-comparison/

I have Twins and Fairtex and if you have smaller hands then the Fairtex may fit loose.

Twins: smaller hand compartment, good wrist protection, decent price
Fairtex: excellent construction, more compact glove, larger hand compartment, most expensive of the Thai brands

I didn't like Sandee much, imo it is not true they are pretty similar to Twins.
Definitely would choose Twins, they are very good gloves and a classic choice.

Have a pair of twins which are going strong for 2 years. however, I just recently got the fairtex angular gloves and the difference is big. In particular, the twins are bulky from the padding while these fairtex gloves are compact. During sparring, I feel a better response from the fairtex than the twins. The fairtex gloves are a bit longer so the padding is more distributed throughout and I feel more impact from blows from the fairtex than the twins.

twins are great but i think they are more of a starter glove.
