Throwback Sakuraba vs Wanderlei 2

Saku is one of that guys that are great even in defeat. The way they approach to the challenge ... style. An artist. A legend.

No! he was always good,but Pride made him cut more weight than originally planned,to make it easier for Saku to win,and he would become way better,have a very fast rise.

I love Saku,OK? He's great. Wanderlei? Also great. Wanderelei is GREAT AND BIGGER than sakuraba,and its too much of a deficit for him to overcome,which is a bit obvious.

There is no shame in that. He was able to beat bigger guys that were not as good as Wanderlei was. I am not counting Rampage in that because Page was inexperienced and also weight depleted. It is not a slight on SAKU. WAR SAKU. If Saku fought Rampage in 2003 he would lose. He fought Lil Nog in 2003 and he was overwhelmed. Understand?

So my initial post was correct, Saku was winning, before the injury....that was the premise of this thread...

I never said anything about that. I dont think he was winning. (from what I recall) He did everything he could to hold Wand off,and stop him from killing him but he was just surviving out there,and he did almost get the guillotine,but then look what happened? He got picked up and slammed and broke his collarbone. It goes to show,he was too small to be in there with Wanderlei. Also,Wanderlei was so over-roided in this fight,so there was just no chance,but even in the first and third fights when he fought regular Wanderlei,he still got knocked out.

Anyway it looked like a man trying to fight a lion. Somehow Saku was still doing ok but you know he wasnt gonna be able to keep that up. He almost had Wandy in a guillotine but Wandy roidbeasted him up and onto his head.

This what I remember about this. It was fucked but Sakuraba was the better fighter and at too big of a disadvantage. Oh well, assholes will ‘splain how terrible Sakuraba is.
