Thread title says it all. Marin had Sage in a deep arm-bar and he gutted it out. Post strep-throat Sage doesn't tap.
What didn't Marin do to lock it up? It looked solid to me and I have zero knowledge of BJJ to understand what he didn't do. Same as GSP not getting it on Hardy at 111
I never took time to check that.. So when armbarring a fighter you have to squeeze the legs and at the same time use them to keep the face of the opponent looking away from the armbar? It was shit, he didn't squeeze his legs, his hips were non-existent and he made the most comical mistake when putting on an Armbarr. He didn't rotate the face and head away from the arm which is the most crucial part of the Armbarr for it to work.

You can only say that on April the 1st. No other day.Very surprised he got the decision. Seemed easily 29-28 for Marin.

I thought Marin did not twist Sage's hand and that was the fault...

First thing I notice is his knees aren't pinched. This makes it easier for Sage to rotate his thumb down and put his elbow out of position. Sage explained that this was the defense he used. Second thing I notice is Marin's right leg is slightly outta position. Without a leg over the face/head, it sacrifices control of your opponent. It also makes transition to a triangle from the armbar a little more difficult.
