Saddest thing to ever happen to a fighter in the UFC?

Ryan Jimmo being run down and murdered by a coward.

This maybe? Was never the same and ended up passing away not to recently...

RIP Corey Hill, forever immortal in all ufc video games! I create him n hes like a lw jon jones with his height lol

Not a huge fan of shields, but holy shit, him getting brutally KTFO two weeks after his dad died and he dedicated the fight to him was sad. Also if i remember right he was so out of it he tried grappling the ref then said it was an early stoppage.

Didn't Cat Zingano's husband kill himself? That's pretty fucked.

Ryan Jimmo. That's super messed up hitting and killing someone and driving away.

Joe saying "oh my god" makes it even worst lol.

i remember mourning joe son's mean bean machine after keith hackney repeatedly punched him on the yogurt blaster like a dozen times

Lol yep we all felt bad and then find out later that it was justified and should’ve went on longer. Hackney is a prophet.

Suicide is a choice, my brother killed himself and put my mother through hell so fuck both them motherfuckers, I wish my brother was alive so I could kill that motherfucker

I think most psychologists would assert that suicidal thoughts are part of a mental illness. The carrying out of suicide even more so.

Perhaps if you weren't a cunt, your brother would have came to you for help.

Not UFC but a lot of people don't know the sad truth behind the mma career of Akebono Tarō. He was a legendary yokozuna, the first non japanese yokozuna ever, who helped popularize the sport in japan with his rivalries against high ranking japanese sumos. He won 11 championships and was the runner up of 13 occasions. Throughout his career, he delt with injuries and after suffering another that forced him to sit out of a 2001 tournament, he decided to retire and open a restaurant. After the failure of his restaurant and financial issues, he decided to take a shot a k-1. After a less than successful debut, he still needed money, and his marketability was recognized as a dragon for another fighter to slay. Same with Giant Silva. The one moment in specific I want to point out was the Don Frye fight. Akebono was through after the first minute and a half, but he just kept coming foreward. Just like the Dada 5000 vs Kimbo Slice (get back to THAT later too) fight, that's was almost literally all he could do. He just ate punches to his face and his body, with his hands half way in front of him, like a zombie. If I remember correctly, Akebonos face looked like puffed up cookie dough dyed with pink food coloring, by the end of the first round. A tragic defacing of a sports legend... almost as bad as al of the insults you see about him on any mma video relating to him.

Dada 5000 vs Kimbo Slice I don't really have much sympathy for him here. He was on the gas his whole career, made a career off of beating up aging fighters and even back when he was street fighting he was no saint. There used to be an uncut version of the Kimbo vs "Adryan" fight were kimbo beat the shit out of this guy while he was down even though the fight was supposed to be stand up. I can't find it anywhere anymore but It's still around. I'll make a post later to see if anyone else saw it. Dada 5000 is the guy I felt sorry for. He just did his own thing and got a shot at money he never had before. He had to cut 40+ lbs in a month and he didn't have some professonal camp or training either. He went in there at like 45% and after the first 2 minutes he was like 15% if that. say what you want about your fedor, your cro cop, your bj penn, your anderson silva, and your jon jones, NONE of them would've been willing run themselves into the ground like he did. His kidney shut down and he had two heart attacks. Now he's known for having one of the most embarrassing mma fights in history and has multiple health issues to deal with for the rest of his life. That's about all I've got, for now. I hope one of you takes the time to read all of this.
