Ryan Hall's NEW DVD'S *Yep,

If it was an app I'd buy it instantly. Bought the Roli Delgardo leg lock one and it's great.

Even a digital download would be better than DVDs.

I received my dvd's this morning.

My office door is locked, I have my gi on, lights are dim, disc number one is in...... This will be the perfect Friday night!

Would this be considered a "date night?" I might be cheating on my wife:redface:

Digital download would actually be my ideal format. I rip all my DVDs to my PC's hard drive and that's exactly why I prefer them to an app. Like BJJ Arsenal I do not own a smartphone or tablet, etc. However, I've been able to play Roli Delgado's app (the Android version) on my PC using BlueStacks for Windows and so far haven't had any problems.

Does anyone know if there are plans on releasing this in the app store? I don't buy DVDs but sometimes they're released on the app store (such as Caiao Terra's DVDs) and I love that format. Allows you to watch anywhere and instantly select the technique you would like to see.

No shit, really? You lucky bastard. I'm so jealous.

Done with disc one. On disc two now. I will need to watch disc one again before commenting. So far, typical Ryan Hall. After every sentence I learn something.

Damn, his concepts!

If Ryan Hall became a regular contributor, MG in Action would be the first online site that I would be willing to pay for.

Jus sayin

This.

I love the Mendes bros site, but if Ryan was on there regularly...

Seriously. I don't even need him to demonstrate anything. If you just had the option of a "Ryan Hall/Josh Waitzkin commentary track" each time Marcelo taught something, i would make it rain.

Using the score from "Searching for Bobby Fischer" would be mandatory, however.

I was just thinking this...

Which are you watching? And this is probably a dumb question, but if its typical Ryan Hall I'm assuming its welllll worth the money eh?

I think it's a no brainer and have written the MGinAction site, but I think they should incorporate Ryan. They already have everything set up, Ryan is now affiliated with Marcelo, and they could probably very easily set up a camera at 50/50 and edit the video in New York (not sure if Josh does all of that or how big their operation is). I say this is a no brainer because it seems across the board people love the way Ryan teaches. Online sites are popping up more and more now, which spells a lot of competition for Marcelo (there's even a thread on here about switching to other sites). Having Marcelo, a teacher like Paul Schreiner (who is excellent), and adding Ryan would probably increase their membership a lot.

Also, with Ryan training at Tri-Star and pursuing MMA it's not inconceivable they could add or consider adding an MMA training portion, bjj for mma, or something similar. I would predict in the future people are going to start combining themselves to gain more market share. Most people would probably want to learn from two, three, or more top level guys rather than one.

Josh, if you're reading this, considering adding Ryan.

Another vote for this! I bought the YEAR online MGinaction (1 week training!). And also have studied Ryans Deep Half game after buying his DVD- this helped my game considerably.

Got my passing DVD. I'll try to watch it next week and get at least a short review up on here.

Bought Arm Triangles and Guard Passing tonight. Wish I could have purchased more but it's my wife's Christmas gift to me. That also means that I don't get to watch it until Christmas.

I just started watching the guard passing dvd and it's phenomenal. It's vintage Ryan where almost the entire first DVD is going over concepts (spinal alignment, pressure, four overarching ways of passing, understanding the body) and I haven't gotten to any actual passes yet. It's great. I'm really looking forward to the second where he goes over grip fighting.

I'd definitely recommend buying it for the first DVD alone. Bought the inverted one but haven't watched any of it. I own all of Ryan's DVDs and they're all worth the money, with Back Attacks probably being my favorite. That set literally changed my game over night.

Ditto, except I bought it for myself so I'll watch it when it arrives.

also have watched the first. Very nice so far. Modern BJJ passing style. Looking forward to #2 and #3.

Haven't been this excited for Xmas day in years.

Post more reviews!
