Yeah I read the USSR export models of these tanks were referred to as "monkey models" and had been stripped of all the important newer technology, and those T-72s we shot up in Iraq were decades behind what the USSR was fielding at the time. Azeris mainly are relatively liberal muslims.
In general they doesn't support nor west nor stuff like Iran and some Death Prince is advocating.

He mainly bought 1973/1974 th model T- 72.
USSR like US had flowchart: 1st tier tank model variation for U.S.
2 nd tier : for Warshaw block.
3 rd tier : for others.


Ammunition too does matter a lot.
While USSR each day had worked to improve shells to be more effective vs tanks and infantry....
Iraq had ammo = museum exponats if compare with Warshaw block, not alone USSR.
Sadam was obsessed with missiles and nuclear program...

That's probably true. But long term, Poland is probably going to replace the F-16's with Korea's KF-21 in development and probably start co-producing it with them. The KF-21 is being designed by South Korea to complement their current F-35 Fleet and similar to the F-22 Raptor.

Still I can see Poland giving up some F-16's. Because the entire point of them revamping their own military is due to Russian fears on their border. So helping Ukraine is super important to them.

I could see that.......

But that would be one very very interesting move to have F-35 and KF-21. Though, it might also be easier to bring them to Block 70/72 standard
