Probably because anyone with eyeballs that connect to their brain understood that Ukraine was fighting insurgents armed and supplied by Russia in Donetsk and they were in their right to fight back especially since Russia also stole part of their country.

You are absolutely right. The Geneva convention allows the shelling of civilians in such cases.

lol what
that happened?

Yeah.

When it is shown live, our commentary team goes away for a smoke break and the fights go on without commentary.

But when they show the replay next day, they're edited out.

No, but seriously, we don't have anyone near the UFC right now, so that's not an issue.

Only one we can somewhat claim is Misha Cirkunov, since he lived here until age 15 and then went to Canada.

Tell me you don't know about the Geneva Convention without telling me you don't know anything about the Geneva Convention.

Imagine raising the Geneva Convention as a defense FOR Putin's fascist regime.

<Dany07>

It does actually. If you're being attacked from civilian locations you're allowed to fire back as long as it's not indiscriminate, which is obviously not that east to quantify.

You know what is actually against the Geneva Convention?

Intentionally basing your military infrastructure in civilian areas and launching attacks from there. You know who is responsible for the civilian deaths in that case? The defenders, not the attackers.

Using soldiers with no national insignia to annex territory like we saw in Crimea.

@Fox by the Sea Our best boxer Mairis Briedis got cancelled so hard for not taking a pro Ukraine stance that the Latvian TV broadcasters dropped him, and people in his homeland have to illegally stream his fights now.

Ukraine: Ukrainian fighting tactics endanger civilians
  • Military bases set up in residential areas including schools and hospitals
  • Attacks launched from populated civilian areas
  • Such violations in no way justify Russia’s indiscriminate attacks, which have killed and injured countless civilians

Ukrainian forces have put civilians in harm’s way by establishing bases and operating weapons systems in populated residential areas, including in schools and hospitals, as they repelled the Russian invasion that began in February, Amnesty International said today.

Such tactics violate international humanitarian law and endanger civilians, as they turn civilian objects into military targets. The ensuing Russian strikes in populated areas have killed civilians and destroyed civilian infrastructure.

I dont know man. He either is trolling, or just beyond any help. I almost feel bad now, because I think it is the latter.

So only Russia gets to break the Geneva Convention for years in aggression, but Ukraine has to adhere to it under threat of annihilation?

That seems fair and logically consistent.
