Anybody else notice this?

Russians are painting the Ukrainian flag over the Russian flag on their license plates.

how can you tell?

That's the most professional curseword censorship I've ever heard lol.

Also zero sympathy for these guys, they're only crying to their moms because they got caught.

Back home they'd be bragging to their mates.

Bragging to their mates about the girls they raped*

Russia would break apart before becoming a North Korea.

not literally North Korea- its not going to be that bad, but I mean an international pariah. If we lose all leverage over Russia, what happens next?

I seriously doubt it's even possible for Russia to become anything close to North Korea. It's simply too huge, and Russians, let alone all other citizens of Russia, are not Koreans.

It would fall apart with massive emigration and secession of "republics".

The more common play is that a strong dictator emerges and holds the state together. What odds do you give the break-up scenario? And what if it doesn't break up? Can you think of any trouble that might be caused by a state with no investment in the "international order"?

You most likely didn't had read stuff in russian what " United Russia " guys and Zirininovski party lads are talking for russians in russia.
If compare with this shit Putin is very soft.

Not mandatory they are russians.
Enough ukr does have russian passport and even surname.
Plus other nationalities does have cars with RU numbers.

Also ofc maybe to evade possible damage for car....

Doubt that. From what I read in the news when this topic comes up, it's usually the Ukrainians that get their cars jacked.

Anyway EU should fall apart.
Cocky germany bullying Poland with their westerners shit is beautiful example.
Next stuff: idiots are worrying about climate if you have peat mine....
Peat is not lesser neccessity for a lot of european soils than fertilisers. In oreder to improve soil quality.
It is used in cattle pharms too and might be used as... really usable fuel.

While EU on Gazprom needle thinks otherwise.

EU simply definitely should die and dissolve if they will be such idiots further. Yeah... even food stamps might be betrer than EUR if debiliods on natural gas needle will continue to think that paper economies like Germany does have any power in reality.
They doesn't have nor financial ( real ) not military power to play big guy in europe...
All they are able to do: sell bounds and nice talks.

Question: assuming everything goes swimmingly for Ukraine with US support, and there is no invasion of Russia itself, has anyone thought through the long term effects of having a massive, North Korea like state in North Asia? I mean all the implications.
But what's the alternative here? It seems to me we either hold Russia accountable, making them a pariah if they continue these actions, or we allow them to rebuild the Empire and have an even more powerful rogue nation to deal with in the future.

There may not be any good options, but I'd suggest keeping some leverage. Example: noises have been made about "transitioning" away from Russian oil and gas in 5 to 10 years. Maybe set that capability up, but don't use it much. Keep buying the fuel, but let it be known that a transition is doable (right now its not doable without destroying Germany). Keep its potential for use to prevent further escalations. Money talks.

Its not a good time to be a Russian general. If you are at the front you risk getting killed, if you are higher up in the chain you risk getting arrested by a angry Putin.
