Almost all the anti-american sentiment in europe is directed towards the government + politics and not the people; but we almost universally hate our own governments too (the French are the champions at this.)

I don't think I've ever met anyone who's had a problem with American people, they're generally well liked across the continent.

There is a government hate but there is a dislike from their tourists, not the old people above 40, but the younger kids who are usually loud and annoying. To think US is a superpower because they are loved or respected is a trip, they are a superpower because they are ruthless commercially and in foreign policy, nobody spends as much on wars as Americans.

Russians are just trying to play the same game but with no means to do it like the Americans. For one Russians cannot even get public opinion on their side, ever.

Why would I be sarcastic? I'm talking as an European. Its naive to think US is a hegemony because people love America, its down to military presence after WWII, wealth generated and language influece/culture.

Chinese are more hated yet they are taking markets from US.

Yeah, and they all want US help through NATO. They can go fight the Russians on their own. It is American blood and armament to defend Europe. Much like WWII, since Europe needs 'adult' supervision to get things done during war.

Don't like American foreign policy, like Americans, was happy an outsider won in the US, at least Americans voted for somone who promised to withdraw from wars, that would boycott China abusive trade. I think most people were scared of how bad Hillary would be foreign wise.
