One big takeaway of all this is it has highlighted what I see as the west's failure to build a relationship with India. They would've been an obvious choice to help counter China but instead we keep pouring money into their enemy that hates us as well. Good job guys

Don't disagree, but someone said that video/reporting of it might not be accurate because there was no sonic boom. But there would only be the one sonic boom once reaching the initial sound barrier velocity, correct? It would not continually make sonic booms?

There's a pretty loud sonic boom in the video, not sure how anyone could miss it. And no, anyone along the flight path will experience the boom as the shock wave travels over their position.

Wrong again, I was advising caution at believing the story that Russia admitted to 10k losses given the circumstances around it. Nowhere did I say that Russian figures are correct, I did say it would make no sense for official Russian figures to jump from 900 odd to 10k as was claim.

this is pretty interesting and could indicate things both ways. Either Russia feels they have the upper hand and want to put an emphasis on it, that they have these missiles they have threatened with in the past, and with NATO not coming, it is a nail in the coffin and Zelensky needs to stop... which is why Putin rejected peace talks this past weekend to level Mariupol and have some shows of force like this.

Or, with NATO and other countries not coming to save the day, but Russia is also feeling the pressure at home and feels a few more big haymakers can seal the deal. But that could also make them blow their load, as a number have suggested is the case, where Russia cannot maintain and needs it to end ASAP.

Based on what I have seen, I think the prior, and this is them testing the international community waters, seeing the general response, and after achieving some better land positions are now going to drop the hammer harder and get what they want.

And this isn't being pro russian, I just think that now that Mariupol is being leveled, along with lack of Western Support, the Russians now have pretty open Eastern Ukraine to advance through and take even more strategic positions and further encircle various urban centers.

Crazy times to live in, all these things just keep piling up. While we're at it, I've just seen this one, another interesting global move:

Monday afternoon Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced more visa restrictions on Chinese officials related to prior charges that state authorities are overseeing the ethnic cleansing of Uighurs. It's certainly interesting timing in terms of pulling out the the human rights card, given that throughout last week the admin's China criticisms seemed exclusively focused on its "fence-sitting" over Ukraine.

100% agree. Someone should have offered them a sweetheart deal on oil to lessen their reliance on Russia.. instead just tried to bully them into it now India getting sweet sweet deals from Russia.

I don't blame India at all for that. Lucky China and India aren't that cool with each other yet.

But forcing the 3 militaries that spend the most outside of usa and a third roughly of the world's population together is a Terrible lapse of judgement
