The "Bohdan Khmelnytsky" battalion formed from Ukrainian prisoners of war has joined a Russian military unit and will be deployed to Ukraine's front lines after taking the oath, Russian state-controlled news outlet RIA Novosti reported on Oct. 27.
Coercion of POWs into combat would violate the Geneva Convention on Prisoners of War, which says that "no prisoner of war may at any time be sent to or detained in areas where he may be exposed to the fire of the combat zone."
The battalion was created in February in the Russian-occupied part of Donetsk Oblast, the formation's alleged commander, Andrii Tyshchenko, told RIA Novosti, adding that they "recruited" around 70 Ukrainian POWs at the time.
RIA Novosti calls the battalion "volunteer," claiming that its members joined the formation "voluntarily, having accepted Russian citizenship."

Russia has reportedly conscripted tens of thousands of Ukrainian citizens in the occupied parts of Ukraine to fight against their own country since the start of the full-scale invasion on Feb. 24, 2022.
Many of them are believed to have been killed in action, as Moscow reportedly uses these people as cannon fodder to expose Ukrainian artillery positions and to cover units recruited inside Russia.
Russia's military has been repeatedly accused of mistreating Ukrainian POWs and violating international humanitarian laws.
Ukraine's Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said on April 17 that his office had received "several dozens" of videos allegedly showing executions of Ukrainian POWs carried out by Russian soldiers.
Between July 28 and 29, 2022, an explosion in Russian-occupied Olenivka killed over 50 Ukrainian prisoners and injured 75 more. Kyiv called this a deliberate Russian war crime.

So by delaying and reducing support for Ukr westerners are hoping to keep Putin in power, maybe they are still enough delusional and are dreaming that new Axis will calm down if west will allow them to take some part of Ukraine.

As horrible the loss of life Putler has talked about how Russia was winning in Avdiivka but videos such as this shows a reality. This reality hopefully reaches people that Putin has little interest in the people who are lose their lives for this lost war. Ukraine needs videos like as proof that they are still pushing forward under relentless rush of bodies.

There is still a massive number of people on the right who still support Ukraine an will put massive breaks within the party. They continue down this road will hurt the party no matter what the pro Trump side of the party thinks. US military will move to continue supporting Ukraine as these issues rise. Trump wing is going to be a huge problem in the long term though unfortunately.
Unfortunately for Ukraine Putin's propaganda does work well in Russia. He still is able to hire ppl for military, is printing money and still does have reserves.
These old rich elite ppl in Russia doesn't cares nor about interest rate % nor about rouble exchange rate.
Ofc for PR purposes better is to keep rouble more worth than 100 for 1 USD....
1 brigade in Russia is 1500-8500 servicemen.
For Putin and elite there even 10000 or 50000 casualties not likely will make sense.
Next batches might be hired and sent to dumbass " to liberate Russian Land from enemies " .....
Sadly looks that to take some small cities for PR purposes ASAP at any cost remains Kremlin's strategy.
Reality that they are more concerned about how to appease nationalists rather than to think about economy does have real proofs.
To keep rouble below 100 per 1 USD regardless that interest rate hike is destroying businesses slowly like hammer.
To sell China, India etc crude oil with impressive discounts in order just to keep war machine going and to tell that Europe will die and default etc....and USD will fall apart etc.
To purchase stuff from China etc for high prices just in order to tell about New World .....

Ukrainians are not fan of the thing i remember posting in summer, really not made for this type of conflict. Apperantly too light on armor and sharpnel shreds tires
