The idea that this is simply a "Democrat party strategy" is a symptom of hackery.

The investigation originated when Comey, a republican, started investigating Flynn, and was fired for it. Comey created pressure by providing his personal notes to the press.

Sessions, a republican, recused himself because he got caught in some lies. So his deputy AG, Rod Rosenstein, a republican, appointed Mueller, a republican, to investigate "any links and/or coordination between Russian Government and individuals associated with the campaign of Donald Trump, and any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation."

That the investigation may accrue to the benefit of the DNC does not make it a strategic manuveur by the DNC.

They're doing everything possible to vilify the investigation and the Press, which is as smart as blaming a doctor for correctly diagnosing a disease.
 
It amazes me that we're at the stage of guilty pleas and major indictments and the "nothingburger" squad is still hanging on. So beholden to party they're defending billionaires who are lying to their faces openly.

I thought the new spin was "Russia always interferes in our elections, it's nothing new"? What happened to that?

My point is that you are off base with your argument, that things changed with Russia since the Obama comment in his debate with Romney in 2012 and that your counterfactual argument of "if the russians had been helping hillary or bernie then..." is crap because (1) it is counterfactual, the Russians helped Trump (2) Trump and his people have tried to deny that this happened, in spite of every intelligence head saying, unequivocally, that it happened (2) Trump and his people have questioned the competence and ulterior motives of the intelligence community because of their opinions on Russia's interference in the election (3) Trump and his people have lied many, many, many times about their contacts with Russians (4) Trump has bent over backwards to avoid saying anything negative about Putin, ever, despite talking shit about everyone and everything else including people in his own cabinet, which takes us back to the articles i responded to your post with: Russia is a very bad actor, and the only motherfucker who is isn't saying so is Trump, and the silence is deafening. How Trump has handled the Russian interference in the 2016 election is central to the concerns that people have abut that interference, and it isn't liberals who are trying to "rewrite history," on the contrary, it is an issue of Trump not telling the truth and his supporters not accepting facts because of their political agendas and cult mentality. And it isn't just liberals who realize this.

Trump supporters, if this were President Clinton with the exact same set of ties and financial relationships, what would the Trump bot view be? Would you be saying this is a big nothing burger that doesn't deserve investigation? The fact that the former campaign manager had illicit foreign ties and was susceptible to blackmail from a hostile foreign power isn't worthy of investigation?

Robert Mueller was head of the FBI when crimes happened so he's tainted.
