They're probably just keeping him around because if they get a new AG, Trump will most likely find someone who will fire Mueller and/or bungle this whole investigation.

I think that all depends on what they told the FBI. If they simply repeated their public statements, they're fucked. I would bet Kushner tried to come clean, and that Sessions tried to lie, if I had to guess.

Sessions may have pinned himself to the mat with his own, vehement protestations that the mere accusations were scurrilous, irresponsible aspersions heaped upon his good character!
If I had to guess, the West Wing is full of mistrustful glares this weekend because everybody is suspicious of who might be wearing a wire.

The emails have been confirmed as legit. It's not some theory. Now, in fairness, there is a slight margin for error, but to believe that margin is all the bad stuff you don't want to believe, is ridiculous.

I don't remember them weighing in on the authenticity of the e-mails. I also believe that the majority of them are accurate, and undoctored. But, now we have one that was verifiably changed. Clearly that creates doubt about their veracity, no?
