Speaking of RB;s, back in the 30;s Cyrus Leland ran a 9.5 100 yards to tie the World Record, out of TCU.

That is what seperates footballers from soccer/rugby, they are multi talented,

Inspired by the great Christian McCaffrey

The Niner running backs

Joe "Jet" Perry he has a few firsts....

First black 1000 yard rusher
First and still the only 1000yard NFL rusherwith just a JC education, Compton JC
First RB to have coneutive 1000 yard seasons.

Hugh "King" McEhenny a Cali hurdles champion, very elusve, great broken field runner

Those two are in the Hall of Fame as will be...

Frank Gore the all time number three NFL rusher

Why Roger Craig doesn't have a HOF bust, ??? He had the first 1000 yard rushing/1000 receiving season.

Now add 1000 yard rushers

Delvin Williams
Wendell Tyler
Garrison Hearst
Ricky Watters
JD Smith

While no 1000 yards he deserves a mention....Ken Williard

Obviously Christian McCaffrey on that Niner RB Mount Rushmore.

His moms dad or his grandpa was Dave Sime.

Norton would play for the Niners, Budd became an Eagle. neither did much.

Bo Jackson twice won the Alabama decathlon title in HS and, he never had to run the 1500, he had that big a lead.

While in HS Gale Sayers led the nation (HSers) with a 24-11 jump.

OJ Simpson came in 6th in that NCAA 60 and 100 and ran the third leg on a USC World record 4x1 team. Future Lions WR Earl "world ranked hurdler" McCullouch leading off.
