Rumoured specs of Xbox Anaconda.

My anaconda don't want none unless you got buns, hun

im overly blown away by the specs, my computer does this already....

Awesome, hopefully they get some worthwhile software next gen.

I love that they don't mention the graphics card, all the cores don't mean shit tbh.

PC MASTER RACE

That didn’t take long.
Yeah consoles are great for the lazy, unwilling people who enjoy paying monthly premiums to play the games they already paid for to own online with others.

In what world does it make any logical sense to buy something that is essentially a gimped version with microtransactions over an upgradeable, modular system. The benefit of not having to buy the next gen's console, and consoles essentially use shit silicone, is enough to build a good pc.

There is literally no logical explanation for a console being better than a pc especially in this day and age when you can play Xbox games on your pc. The only thing htey got is cheap 4k gaming without all the textures, and every game looks like shit without textures, aa, fxaa, msa, etc. Also the fact that it doesn't have 16 gbs of ram is concerning because I couldn't even run Battlefront with 12 gbs, meaning they reduced the eye candy and the game to run on this shit.

Why is there always a bunch […] ranting about PC's in console threads and vice versa? PC's are always going to have the best graphics, but I prefer consoles, because I like sports games (which I play with buddies locally) and like not having to dick around with it.

PC gaming is a cool hobby as the building side of it can be fun, but I'm fine with My Xbox One X that I got for $260 that looks sweet on my 4K TV. The UHD Blu-Ray player is cool too as I live in an area that still has a video rental chain that rents UHD Blu Rays. I don't get them all of the time, but there is a noticeable difference from streaming 4K content and playing it off a physical disc.

Least im not seeing a bullshit line of it having a SSD faster than anything on Pc currently like Sony did.

Overall its what you'd expect hardware wise. It meets baseline gaming Pc specifications of today.

But can you pirate games?

I have a hard time supporting the xbox platform because of how they fucked people over with the 360, they knew it was overheating and they knew it was prone to failure but they had to beat the ps3 deadlines.

I won a xbox 360 when they came out and the thing shit the bed in about a year and a half. I have a hand me down xbox one sitting in my closet that I've yet to power on in the 3-4 months I've had it because the only reason I have to play on a xbox is the community

lolz. me, too! did you get it from the ifl?

it was an extra $300 for me via immediate craigslist sale.
I fucked up and kept it, I could've cashed out and got me a nice haro but I liked being the only kid for miles with one.

I won mine from some company called Juniper, you had to follow the some lady for several hours or some crap just to even get the chance to enter in the drawing but I was already stuck at this silicon convention all day because my mom had a booth there. I ended up sneaking into the group , probably because I was like 4 feet tall and I only had to follow this lady for around 30 minutes then they handed out some numbers and they picked my number. whats funny is I had sat at a xbox 360 booth the entire day play Project Gotham Racing thinking about how bad I wanted a xbox 360.

probably better than mine.

i 'won' the xbox and 4 tickets/2 hotel rooms (and i think like $500) to an ifl event at the worst casino i've ever seen, the mohegan sun. the drive up was terrible, the casino/hotel/complex was terrible (and the worst air quality ever, it was just like recycled cigarette smoke was being blown through it all. we all got sick/migraines from it and kept going outside to breathe)... the event was good, though. haha. but that shithole compound was so godawful we were eager to get the fuck back to the hood of philly and left shortly after the event, forfeiting the hotel/etc. ultimately, we all wished i didn't "win."

The tweet linking the article literally mention the graphics card, first. Someone who belongs to the PC Master Race knows what a "GPU" is.

You're just a troll trying to make us look bad.

C'mon, it's better than "baseline".

Quad core CPU, 6+ Teraflops AMD GPU (4.5+ if NVIDIA), and 8GB RAM is still around a healthy baseline today. Hell, even that is being a bit snobbish. Nearly a quarter of gamers on Steam are still playing on dual core CPUs. Obviously it depends on the games you play, but this would meet the "Recommended" requirements for most current titles.

Assuming the CPU clock is turbo, there is no perfect Zen2 analogue, since they're all clocked higher, as we would expect, so it's probably closer to on par with an R7-2700 or R7-1800X.
  • CPU: R7-2700(?)
  • GPU: Radeon VII
  • RAM: 16GB [and it will probably be far superior to DDR4 speeds]
  • Storage: 1TB(?) NVMe SSD
That's not "baseline".

When it comes to consoles I've always gone with Playstation and have personally NEVER had any issues with it. Everyone that I know who ever had an Xbox has complained about it in one way or another throughout the years. Nintendo also gave me some great times as a kid especially with the N64 and Game boy Color - Advanced SP

Nvme is likely the B&M connector at 1TB storage. With the CPU clock phrasing indicating its locked at 3.5ghz. So that Sata SSD speeds at today CPU's base clock speed for a product thats releasing this time next year. On a unit that will be $499 when we havent factored in all the other hardware components prices.

Its expected from Microsoft and Sony for their R&D needs to start 1-1/2 years out from release. Wasnt knocking on the system for they need to stress test the build for a solid year before production starts.
