There was a supposed leak of info about this game from 4chan that was picked up by various game sites.

When are they going to give us an imperial China or feudalistic japan setting that people have been wanting for like 7+ years?

AJS had a good point to why. Sekiro was the most recent popular game of similar genre that had a samurai theme.

    AJS? Who/what’s that?

Anyway, are you saying East Asian theme is too saturated right now?

Agree, I want ninjas and samurai, and they could even time it to when Europeans and the Vatican start making contact with Japan.....

Aside from Black Flag which AC game is worth playing? I tried the Eypt one and didn't care for it.

I got bored with every AC game since Blackflag too. AC Odyssey is a lot of fun though. It improves on the direction Origins (Egypt one) took in every way. It's far more of an RPG, with a decent story. They brought a light nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor for their GTA-like wanted system. It's not as fleshed out, but it makes getting in trouble more fun.

The world and locations are stunning, and there are some solid mythological bosses. The Atlantis expansion is worth every penny too.

I still don't like their leveling system, but it's better than Origin's was, and the combat is more satisfying. The Sparta kick never gets old

It sounds like they're improving everything even more in the Ragnarok leaks, can't wait for this.

    ftfy.

I'm completely meh on this shit, especially if they're going to make yet another game that has nothing to do with the modern day AC story, takes 90 hours to beat, and locks it's real ending behind dlc.

I actually quite liked Odyssey (didn't play Origins) but it left a serious bad taste in my mouth when I "beat" the main story only to find out I'd need to shell out for the season pass to actually get the Atlantis storyline. They cockteased the stuff throughout the main game, essentially giving you the first act as if it was integral to the game and boom, over.

I actually haven’t played since about 2013. I loved the Ezio games, but I made it about 2/3rds of the way through AC3 before dropping out. Haven’t picked up the series since despite picking up most of it from bargain bins over the years. Like I literally have the disks for AC4, Rogue, Unity, Syndicate and Origins but haven’t touched any of them. One day I plan to simply beat 3 and move on to the rest.

Although I kind of enjoyed both Origins and Odyssey I mostly wonder if they will update this janky, shitty version of Souls combat finally.

If you liked Black Flag, you should like Rogue. It's the same setting but you play as a Templar. Syndicate is pretty good too, the twins are badass.

I liked every AC until they started with that half assed RPG/Souls style, so I'm a little biased.

It's insane they still haven't done this. I wont lie though the Sparta and Viking settings are also something I wanted but not as much as Samuai\Ninja shit.
