Do you think if Rumble made a comeback, looked great in a tune up fight against a top contender, got himself dedicated to MMA, committed fully to striking and avoiding takedowns/clinch...

That Rumble could finally KO DC

Jones proved that DC could be KOed, after Rumble and Gus softened him up

Rumble should be looking for kidney donors, not fights.

Rumble is the gold standard of LHW highlight reels. He has the ability to KO anyone.

But no. Rumble's problem is mental. The way he approached the rematch showed he didn't think he could do it. Obviously time is on his side with DC being old and all, but I don't think he wants to avenge these L's or he'd be back in the win column already.

Rumble has 5 losses. 6 by rear naked choke. The guy is literally a choker. No he could not beat DC. What he has in talent he lacks in heart, IQ, cardio. He's like the opposite of Bisping.

Rumble had KOed Gus, Glover and Jimi in brutal fashion, I'd have favored him too.

Just a really bad gameplan in the 2nd DC fight.

So what ?

Bet on DC if you want. I’d be the first to congratulate you if you win. I like the man, and always have. But, I’m a realist.

Shit the opposite of DC.

DC is definitely athletic, but I believe what makes him truly special are the other attributes you outlined: heart, iq, cardio.

DC has Rumbles number. He will wrestle the brakes off him and wear him down, every time.

Strangely enough, Gus has a better chance against DC than Rumble, who smashed Alexander.

Styles and body-types.

Rumble was the underdog in both fights, not sure what you are talking about.

That Rumble gameplan in the 2nd fight had me like
{<huh}

DC most likely only has 2 fights left: the Stipe fight, and if he wins, Lesnar. If he loses, Gustafsson.

Can't blame the bookies too much for not picking him to fold.

Nah, he's a great frontrunner, but DC's a tough tough cookie if you can't put him away early.

I see Latifi and DC crossing paths sometime. And interestingly enough, Cormier has said Latifi is the only guy to ever out strength him or something like that.

War Ilir “the choad” Latifi

I think second fight was a pk'em with both sharing time as a slight favorite before fight

Yeah I almost feel like he went in there to quit the second time. He was planning on retiring either way so why not let DC stay champ? Really bugged me though because I wanted to see DC go to sleep for pulling that BS with the towel.
