I don't find her especially hot or homely. Not terrible, I would say. Body art is cool, I like to see it. But really, if we're being honest, it's fundamentally just an excuse to be naked in public. Not that there's anything wrong with that (if you ask me), but to pretend otherwise is disingenuous.

Body paint gives it an air of respectability. You will not convince me that if public nudity was less looked down upon, she wouldn't have just gone nude instead of bothering with the body paint. A pretend tiger skin bathing suit doesn't cut it for me in the artistic expression department. They could have done much more. Body paint is awesome and sometimes it's art. This particular body painting doesn't qualify, to me.

No, I'm a software developer. I just appreciate art, and you're entirely dismissing an entire type of art simply because it contains nudity. Of course I will argue that bodypainting would still be an art if nudity was more commonplace. I would argue that it would be FAR MORE commonplace, in fact.

I just found it telling that you led by measuring her up by her body (hey look everyone, we finally figured out what makes female athletes important!), and then dismissed the art of bodypainting with no respect for the artists whatsoever.

I'm guessing you're largely unfamiliar with how difficult serious bodypaint art can be. Your loss. Maybe if you can't see past the fact that sometimes you can tell that a human has a nipple, you simply aren't mature enough to be a target audience for art outside of the classics.

(But then again, there's that statue of david with his penis, and all the nude statues and paintings done throughout history.)

Makes me wonder why you excuse nudity in classic art but dismiss it as exhibitionism in modern art.
