Roy Nelson. Holy. Bleep.

"Best" right hand? No.

One of the most powerful, sure.

Walk away with your brain in tact man.

Probably too late for that after today. :icon_sad:

I wonder how that kind of impact compares to car crashes of various magnitudes. Dude was out cold for quite some time, and was wobbly walking over to Roy even a few minutes afterward. I don't think I've ever had this thought from an MMA fight, but it makes you wonder if he should stay in a hospital overnight for observation.

He sets up that right hand so well... and when it lands its OVER

He rarely sets it up anymore. He just lands it against fighters that stand flat footed and squared up against him. There's nothing impressive about beating Nog.

Best? Nah. It's got a ton of power when he can wind it up from somewhere in the 2nd row of seats, but there are plenty of other people who can throw with comparable power, more speed, and better setups.
For instance,

Should be mentioned with the gif that Nog was rocked several times before that huge hay-maker.

He was so rocked he couldn't even think to keep his hands up to fully protect himself.

Nelson always does these 2 little steps with his left foot before unloading the right hand, yet people still fall for it lol.

That is mesmerizing.

Hard seeing Nog go out cold like that. Seen him TKO'd but to be knocked stiff is depressing. He needs to hang them up, he is a shell of his former self and his legacy is already cemented.

Unless he gets hit by Andre Arlovski

Yeah, but if you voluntarily get into a bar fight with Andrei Arlovski when your legs work and where the exits are unlocked and functional, then everyone in your party deserves to get knocked out anyway.

Yup, it's like a Mike Tyson's Punch-Out character loading their "special attack" and still a joy to see when it hits home. :icon_chee

Note the absolutely god-awful defense exhibited in all those .gifs.

Power might be the biggest cause of severe overestimation of striking in the history of anything.
