Roy Jones Jr. believes he can help Conor McGregor get back to training, but only on his own terms.

McGregor has been out of action since breaking his leg in a trilogy loss against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Jones believes he can motivate McGregor to get back to training, but not in the Irishman’s current surroundings. Jones is confident he can help McGregor if the former UFC champ leaves his usual environment. A former world champion, Jones has coached champions like Jermall Charlo and Chris Eubanks Jr. in the past.

Jones Explains How to Motivate McGregor

“I could [help re-motivate Conor McGregor], but I’d have to get him out of his surroundings for a minute,” Jones Jr. told TitanPlay. “I think I could make him enjoy training again, enjoy learning again. I can always teach boxing — I know it like the back of my hand. If I got him out of that environment, I could teach him and make it fun again. That’d make him want to fight — to try some of the stuff he learned. If he really wanted to get out of it, yes, I could help.”

You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Conor McGregor!

And this time it's true!

Wouldn't even need Roy Jones if he got out of the environment he is in.

Conor has the money to rent out a secluded compound that was isolated from all distractions and hire pro and Olympian training partners to bring him to the next level. He has all the money to lock in completely, he just chooses not to.

He’ll never get McNuggets out of his environment for more than a minute. Conor will be like Jack Black in Tropic Thunder always jonesing for his “vitamins”

If Conor were capable of enjoying anything, he wouldn't be sky high and blackout drunk every waking moment of his life.

He's rich as fuck, self important and loves partying. His time in any kind of serious capacity is over and he'd do well not to lie to himself about that... but it would be good to hear that he was able to ground his lifestyle a bit, it's a tragedy in the making

Realistically Conor was an amateur bum as a boxer, literally, and he's more washed than a beached whale in MMA. Complete garbage at this point.

Roy on the other hand is one of the best ever and wants a little new clout but that's okay.

Shit. Imagine if Goggins and RJJ in Conor's training camp. One wakes you up at 4am. Makes you do half a marathon before dawn then RJJ takes over the whole afternoon. Conor needs all the sleep in the world to do it again the next day.
