I think it's a mistake to assume Nelson would've done much better if only he'd cut down. Seems like he really thrived on swinging that big right hand against slow, untechnical HWs and he had BJJ skills that were generally good for the division. Perhaps he would've been able to utilize is grappling more if he was lighter and more mobile but honestly I think he did well enough given his skillset.

Had the best chin ever in the UFC. He took all those big hits from prime JDS and never went down.

Regardless of the disrespect he gets around here Kimbo was a scary dude. A lot of mma fighters were intimidated by him ie Houston Alexander.
