"What went wrong in the fight is that I was hit with illegal elbows in the back of the head and couldn’t see anything next, When I was hit, I went out. I couldn’t even understand what happened. I kept asking my corners what happened, because I felt a strike in the back of my head and then I just saw the referee in front of me, and felt the pain in the back of my head. I was upset because I didn’t fight and they let him continue after the first strike in the back of the head. I wasn’t in the fight anymore after it."

"I didn’t say anything (after the fight) because I was off, but my coaches saw and complained, but nobody did anything, They just sent me to the hospital for observation, to make sure everything was alright with my brain. I stayed there for 12 hours and then they let me go, and asked me to do another MRI in Brazil."

As if he has a leg to stand on when it comes to following and respecting the rules inside a cage...

This guy has some nerve.

unbelievable, meeks should be suspended and not allowed to fight anymore...if a professional fighter is unable to follow the rules properly they are a danger to their opponents, meeks has some nerve, i bet he probably doesn't even understand what he did was wrong and will pretend like nothing happened and continue to fight wherever he can....unbelievable

He definitely got hit in the back of the head and the ref gave no fucks.

As far as his behavior, how many of his opponents have had to have knee surgery after they fought him?

Zero knees destroyed with that 'awful' submission held onto by a 'cheating monster', right?

Well, like a true brazillian, he have to whine about something in defeat.

Palhares crying about dirty fighting. That is rich.

It's really hard to tell from the angle the camera shows, and it's not like Venator gives a shit. They didn't care about Soko's gloves, even with people Tweeting them about it immediately (that's not to say they even ignored it, they just said 'it's okay').

He might be right, but no one is going to care.

It's in a brazilians' nature to make excuses after a loss.

That's the way I see it.

Palhares pretty much made his own bed on this one. If you find yourself in a position where the only place you can fight is in Italy and you're the only guy on the card who has to have an Italian ref who isn't licensed by the overseeing commission... you might take a few shots to the back of the head without anyone giving a fuck.

Palhares is the last person that should be complaining about dirty fighting
