Rountree KOs Saki (GFY)

That's some damn quick work bruv. Good job.

Nasty straight left.

One bad decision. One loss.

In less than a second.

Brutal.

Did saki throw a punch? I don't remember one, just slow sloppy kicks.

Congrats to Rountree for that performance and finish

And boom goes the dynamite.

Rountree hits hard as hell but i did not see him catching Saki like that.

i looked more like he doesnt know what to do on the ground.
he just needs fight more in the cage but he is older now.

Tough break. Saki needs a ground game. I wish he could at least have made some attempt to avoid that TKO. His ground defense ranges from looking up, terrified, to turtling up. 0 ground game.

Love Saki, but that was fucking weak. He shouldnt be getting caught like that, sorry bro MMA isnt going to work out for you.

Where are the speed and the thunderous combinations saki was famous for?
Hit the road jack and don't u come back no more.

There’s a reason Overeem was wrecking everyone in K1. There’s a reason Mirko found it easy to return to K1 competition in old age.

Wow. I really thought Saki's striking was going to be too much for Rountree. Did not expect this

MMA striking > K-1 striking

Its true. I recall Rampage, way back in the day, stepping in to K-1 being a MMA neophyte too, and still smoking some K-1 guy. I can't imagine him stepping in to a boxing ring and hanging with (e.g.) Vassily Jirov or somebody, let alone beating him.

In terms of talent level, kickboxing/K-1 is the minor leagues.

Saki has a tendency to use slow lazy looking leg kicks to set you up and make you react. The second you do he counters with a nasty combo usually starting with a left hook and ends with a sharp low kick. Fact is Saki has had only 3 fights in the last 4 and a half years against c level opponents and has had at least 2 potentiality career ending injuries in that time. He thoroughly underestimated this guy, at this level and weight class looking past a guy who’s paid his dues and made his way into a league like the UFC will only get you fucked up. Saki has been totally full of himself since beating Ghita back in 2013 and hasn’t taken his training or his opposition as seriously as he needed to since.
