The film is a masterclass in symbolism. Every frame is loaded with meaning. You could spend yr whole life picking out all the reference to the occult and secret societies and putting it all together. The way he packed in rosicrucianism, kabbalah, fabianism, freemasonry, Satanism, crowley, etc is amazing. There's lots of arguments in the Kubrick circles of whether he was trying to expose this shit or was just doing revelation of the method. Either way, dude saw some shit.

It's also interesting to note that Cruise and Kidman both have ties to secret societies. Cruise with high level scientology and Kidman's father was a sick fuck can't even write what he did on sherdog. Also, Kubrick wanted Woody Allen to play Cruise's part initially.
