Rose vs Valentina

Rose is lanky but she is kind of weak. I think Valentina ragdolls her.
 
Yea this one is more of a fan wish then anything else because they won’t do it. They respect each other too much. It would definitely be an interesting fight. The fan boys saying “Rose gets killed” are really short selling her. Does she win? Most likely not but stylistically it’s an interesting fight.

Valentina is just much more experienced all around. Rose is definitely the more elusive dynamic striker however Valentina is such a fantastic techinical striker that it would be hard to give either an advantage because the styles on the feet are so different.
The difference to me is whole Rose has some creative bjj, I think there is a massive strength difference with Valentina In terms of the wrestling. It would be much more likely for Valentina to take Rose down and keep her there then Vice verse.

Again, while I would love to see...it’s never happening and if it did...Valentina take it more often the not.

You pretty much got everything wrong with this post. Well done. Shevchenko might be Sherdog’s darling but she is not a draw. Where are you getting this “massive interest” nonsense from? What’s interesting about a squash match? It doesn’t look good for a champion to get beat. And Rose, Weili or any other SW would certainly lose a fight with Shevchenko. If you want a champ vs champ fight then let Shevchenko move up and fight Nunes.
 
If anything, their fights with Andrade and Joanna should give you an idea of how much of a mismatch this is. Valentina outwrestled Andrade so easy while jessica was slamming Rose and was always the one getting takedowns there. Joanna was very competitive against Rose when she didn't get KO and almost won that rematch but was completely outclassed by Val.

There are levels to this. This was ridiculous when it was suggested about Zhang and is still ridiculous now with Rose.

What's crazy is that these top contenders at 115 (Zhang, Rose, Joanna, Andrade, Suarez) could easily beat the top contenders at 125 (Chookigian, Eye, Maia, Calderwood, Calvillo, Murphy, etc...). Which gives you an idea of how many levels Val is among the other 125ers. Based on division dominance, she is P4P #1
 
I love Rose but Valentina is just another level of good. Winning a round against Valentina is an achievement to be proud of. Winning just one sequence against Valentina is something to be proud of. Once again Rose is great but Valentina and Amanda are on another level of good.
 
Valentina is already the GOAT WMMA fighter.

it’s up to Nunes and Rose to adjust their weight for a shot at female GOAT.
 
Andrade was supposed to have superior wrestling and a BJJ blackbelt. Valentina threw her around at will and put her in a crucifix. Rose would have basically no shot. As most said Amanda and Valentina are on their own level

Amanda is bigger and stronger than both of them, not more skilled.

Her walk around weight is over 160 lbs. Valentina didn't cut any weight at all to fight at 135. In fact, she weighed in at 133 when she faced Holly. No one cuts 2 extra pounds just for the sake of it. Amanda had 20 lbs on Valentina on fight night. The weight difference between Amanda and Valentina is much bigger than between Valentina and Rose.

Andrade's' BJJ is garbage compared to Rose's. No matter if she has a black belt or not. Rewatch what happened when she took Rose down in the third round of their second fight. She didn't do shit on top and Rose almost caught her thrice within 30 seconds.

Valentina dominated Joanna with her wrestling and judo, but Rose caused Joanna more damage with her punches. She KO'ed her in the first fight and hurt her every time she landed clean in the second one. I'm fairly certain Rose punches harder than Valentina. In case you didn't know, Rose is tied with Amanda for the most knockdowns of any female fighter in UFC history.

Also, Joanna has very good take down defense, but taking the fight to the ground is the safest way to beat her if you can do it. She doesn't pose any threat there. She has only one submission (back in 2012). Unlike Joanna, Rose is very dangerous on the ground.

Of course she praises her. They are training partners and friends. If you watch their sparring sessions you'll see Valentina toying with her.

Rose is very good. But no one is on Valentina's level except Amanda.
