He was coming off an extended recovery time due to his last disfiguring loss to Lawler and he was fighting probably the most technical striker in the division, if not the whole sport. You can't just run in on Thompson or you'll end up like Hendricks. He's just a tough puzzle to figure out, and Rory didn't have what it takes this time around.

Not only the threat of a KO blow, look at Wonderboys defence, his movement is just excellent, and even when he gets hit he keeps his composure, keeps moving, and fires back. Very hard target, and that makes it more difficult to take risks.
