He was popping off on twitter earlier today saying that he would come back to fight in fights that prove he's the best 170lber in the world. So in other words, he will only fight the 170lb champs in Bellator or UFC, as long as it's not Woodleu.

Yep. He wanted GSP, but Rory is the only fight out there besides GSP that fits the description of the fight he would return to fight.

Wrong. Rory has great defensive grappling and Askren would do jack shit on the feet. He would get ate alive vs Rory, horrible matchup for him.

its hard to work takedown defense vs ben askren because he doesnt shoot your traditional single doubles its very hard to train for him that will help his success in future

I really like this fight and hope Bellator tries to put it together and OneFC lets it happen. Not much for Rory at 170 in Bellator.

Askren is on a whole other level as far as wrestling goes. Rory could catch him standing but if Askren gets a hold of him he's going to the ground.

Yep. Those with actual folkstyle experience will have the best chance. Those MMA grappling classes arent getting Rory ready for what Askren is bringing. There aren't enough of Askrens in the sport them to 'waste time' spending the time needed to be able to halfway stop it
