I dont see the UFC keeping him. Hes been a contender for a long while, his fights and personality dont sell well (Besides that Robbie fight but...its Robbie). He never got the gold and he wants more money.

I say get rid of him. He can be a huge star and champ in Bellator. I dont see him cracking that next level in UFC.

Probably the best option to make the most money with sponsorships.

It's going to be downhill for MacDonald in the UFC. Doubt he ever sees a UFC title shot ever again, but could beat Koreshkov and be the Bellator Welterweight Champion.

As the greatest DAMN poster on this site, I fee it my duty to say that the UFC never appreciated Rory. He fought his ass off for several years and when he wasn't in gsp's shadow, he was viciously under appreciated.

Fact is Rory never tapped to strikes, made exciting fights, and didn't just hump dudes to boring decisions like gsp.

I hope he does well in Bellator should he chose to go and I see him coming back and making another run.

Congrats. GUERNICA just put your thread on the map!

nah, I think Rory will try to get some easy fights for the next 2 years and let father time beat lawler and wonderboy.

Lol

He's leaving but only for a bigger check.

He's not getting kicked out you drama queen.

I literally said he wants more money get rid of him.....because of the money.

But I would bet he gets cut not long down the road if he stayed.

He was supposed to be the next big thing. Young, athletic, dedicated, all with a hint of crazy. But he doesn't seem to be getting any better. I think he could still be UFC champ, but he has to make some changes. Right now he is good everywhere, but great nowhere. He needs to get great at some aspect of his game.

Coming soon. Rory returns to UFC with the Bellator belt.

He could go to bellator

Win the title and get paid

Defend a few times

Then come back to UFC as a bellator champ and a bigger name

He's done in the UFC. He's lost all of the big fights and he's starting to show the wear and tear of a 40 year old vet. His speech is getting slurred and it's no surprise since he's been fighting pro and getting smashed by grown men since age 15.

If he goes to Bellator, I hope he does well, but I think he should think about stepping away and doing something else for a living. No sense getting heavily brain damaged if its clear youll never be champ.

UFC is in a position to take or leave Rory. He want's to walk, no ones going to stop him. Complete apathy at this point. He's young, therefore if he started making big waves over at Bellator, then the door would obviously be open for him to return in the future, (2-3 years) just like it was for Rumble.

firas is a sport killer.
he siphoned rorys aggression into a pig and rushed it off the edge of a cliff.

now we get safe-pitter-patter-point sparring- rory.

firas basically took this young pitbull that was foaming at the mouth...and cut his nuts off....put him in obedience school.

firas took a young tiger thirsty for flesh, ...a complete beastmode terminator that was notorious for his ungodly takedowns followed with ground-and-pound to a pool of blood.....
and forced him to relearn an absurd distance- jab-using-point-energy-saving-judge-collaborating fighting style.

FK tristar. And I say that with respect

So 99% of fighters should quit? Because almost no one becomes champion ever.

He's not going to get a great offer, but I doubt they lowball him. If they let too many legit guys go, it could legitimize Bellator's WW division, and then all of a sudden, other WW's are asking for more money too because they feel like they can get good enough fights in that other org.

Bellator pays shit money and they're already stretching their allowance from Viacom thin by paying guys like Rampage big money. They won't offer Rory much.

No way UFC is letting Rory go. They would pay Rory higher just so that he would not sign somewhere else, Bellator especially.

Actually an interesting business choice for Bellator. If they signed Rory, the obvious first fight would be Koreshkov. Now if Rory wins, it makes it look like UFC guys can take a step down and be Bellator champs. But if Koreshkov wins, it legitimizes Bellator to a point, but he's UFC bound the second his Bellator contract is up.
