Anime in the late 80s and still watched in 2000s, maybe even now. How's that overrated. Name another Anime that is watched by probably 2~3 generations of kids.

That's the trend with DBZ, which was one thing I disliked. Everyone except Goku becomes a loser or insignificant.

You see this with

Gohan - Straight up bad ass/loose canon turning into Saiyaman + pussy whipped
Trunks - So much cooler in the future version than present
Vegeta - Prideful Saiyan prince becoming a softie in GT
Goten - Cute kid turning into a playboy
Piccolo - A daycare guy

That's why you have to specify their saga. Cell Saga Gohan is my all time favourite, but I can't say that Gohan is my favourite character.

And seriously, does Goku have to be the end hero in all the sagas?
