Ronaldinho has been taking MMA lessons

Ronaldinho was nothing compared to this man.

El fenomeno

Yeah I remember that story! Imagine Ronaldinho playing for a Portuguese club. Crazy!

Why not?You have some good teams out there

At some point there was a rumor that he was going to sign with a team here in Greece

dude had GOAT potential

Dude won the Ballon d'Or, hardly like he was unfulfilled potential. Also, universally acknowledged as the best attacking player from 2005-2008, then Ronaldo and Messi came along.

His footwork would be insane

Do you remember when Cara almost shut him down in UCL Round 16 & We won against Barca in Camp-Nou. Those were the days. Hope Klopp can bring back those days.

I mean he already did, With Bodgers' team he took us to two finals, but Really I am expecting at least 2 Premiere league & 1 UCL from him. He can do it & can be our next Bob paisley.

Not athletic!?!?!

Lol that combo of footwork, speed, balance, coordination????

Dude you're nuts.

You're delusional. Everybody knows this is what a real athlete with true athleticism looks like.

haha classic Carra. Yeah no doubt Kloppo will do us a solid. We've got a huge squad of really talented youngsters with no one better in the world to guide them and bring out their best. Already got a solid CB in Matip, Sakho has got off free from USADA too, so with Lovren we have some good options. I think if he brings in one or two world class players now, which we can certainly do, Cavani/Higuain taking one slot then maybe someone who's more of a gamble, I think we're set up for years of success. Klopp wants to build something for the next manager

I guess I'm talking about the common idea of what represents "athleticism" i.e. speed, jumping high, strength, etc.

Another example would be Zidane. He was ridiculously skilled but not that athletic.

You guys need to use your brains a little...

There are football (yes, the REAL FOOTBALL, not that murica's bullshit) players who are very athletic guys like CR7, or Ibrahimovic, and those who are just very skilled, like Ronaldinho and Messi...

I would bet my house that CR7 would put a beating in CM Punk...

I have never seen anyone that ever came close to terms of skill with a ball. He would do crazy stuff i have never seen anyone else do like passing the ball with his back or pin point accurate crosses when looking in the opposite direction. If he moved to mma in say 2002 i think he would have done well but when he was at baraclona he probobly made more money in a a week than most mma fighter do in a year. If his leg kicks were anything like his free kicks they would be BRUTAL.

Bixente Lizarazu (world cup winner with France in 98, and won the Euros in 2000) has been training BJJ for a while, and became a blue belt European Champion pretty quickly. Here's a picture of him rolling with Palhares. I imagine the smile was wiped off his face when that nutter failed to release:

I make you right there. Zidane & Ronaldinho weren't the fittest, or quickest - their balance with and without the ball was ridiculous, though. C Ronaldo & Bale are far more spectacular athletes, though you could argue that they couldn't match the skill levels of Zizou or Bugs.

Ronny always struggled with his weight, too, which isn't a hallmark of the top tier of athletes.

With werdum and nelson. How would athletic middle-aged soccer player fair up with rest of UFC fighters?

That's how you deal with other people's baby mama drama ..... Or a they say in Brazil , Tiesday .....

holy fuck, thats a team right there

Absolutely, and many great Brazilian and Argentinian players come to play for Benfica or FC Porto before moving on to Real Madrid and the likes. Di Maria and James Rodriguez's examples immediately come to mind. But Benfica and FC Porto are one thing and Estrela da Amadora is quite another. If Ronaldinho had started his European career at Estrela, that would have been something special indeed.
