Romero sues company over tainted supplements

"You wan it i got it. I took it and it not good for you mang".

http://mmajunkie.com/2018/01/report...-supplement-that-led-to-2016-usada-suspension

I've read quite a few posters question why these guys claiming tainted supplements for why they popped don't sue the supplement company...

Well, Yoel is taking legal action here. Does that change your opinion on him as a juicer at all?

Why is he doing it two years after the fact? Why leave it so long?

What evidence is there that he actually is? Where are the court filings like we have in Lyman goods case?

This is a pr move by Malki, and directly relates to the jones case. Helps reinforce in the publics mind that supplement contamination happens. That's all this is.

"Romero filed the suit in New Jersey Superior Court, the report said, in regards to the company’s Shred RX product, which Romero said he was using when he tested positive in December 2015 a few days after his win over Souza."

Right there in the link. I know, who bothers reading the source...

I read the source. They don't even get the name of the product correct.

So where the copy of the court filings then?

Like I say, this is purely a pr move by Malki and directly relates to the jones case

Ps. I don't think yoel has much of a case anyway. The name of the product, the "shed-rx" (not shred as in the article), rx is well known as being code for research chemical.. The packaging describing it as an advanced diuretic. Is it reasonable to believe yoel should have known or been suspicious? Yeh, I would say so.

Dude, you have no clue what you're talking about.

USADA already tested the substances and declared them illegal and undisclosed on the actual product. Therefore Yoel Romero has a very good case to sue them.
The news about this broke like a week ago.

Like I say, the timing is purely to get a few headlines to reinforce people's view that supplement tainting is a widespread thing before they claim contaminated supplement in the jones case.

Then why did he get his suspension reduced to 6 months?

Not sure USADA agrees with you here...

Didn't read anything? I read the article in forbes the minute it came out.

The article even got the fucking product name wrong. Ffs.

As I sat, rx is well known code for research chemical, goldstar the producers are well known for adding things to supplements, the diuretic wording on the label was a flag.

Usada were very generous. A decent lawyer would have no problems demonstrating that yoel should have known

Good. Supplement companys should be held responsible for putting Banned substances in worthless supplements to make them work.

Because ibutamoren was not listed on the ingredients.
The usada program was in its infancy, the athletes had not been educated as much.,usada were more lenient.

For instance. Means got six months for a supplement called "hgh-x"

If someone tested positive from that supplement now. After all the education usada has given, all the supplement warnings etc, the fighter would probably get 12-18 months for the same thing.

That's why I said this news broke like a week ago and there is more information out there than what Forbes wrote about it.
Romero filed this some time ago with the court, but obviously USADA takes some time to test the supplement and court takes some time, aswell.

There was no way Yoel should have known, because the ingredient in question was undisclosed, not mentioned anywhere on the product, so what are you talking about?

It doesn’t say that he filed the suit in Dec of 2015. All it says is that he was using Shred RX in Dec 2015 which he tested positive for.

That is not saying he filed a lawsuit in 2015. Lol.

There was no way Yoel should have known, because the ingredient in question was undisclosed, not mentioned anywhere on the product and basically 100% illegal, so what are you talking about?

LOL.. OK..
So yoel couldn't possibly know that something called rx world contain a research chemical. OK.

Why was he taking something marketed as a diuretic anyway?

Flags galore.

This is pure speculation to fit your narrative.

I'll stick with the facts and what USADA actually has done, thanks.

He wasn't using something called shred-rx it was called shed-rx

So it's been two years for the lawsuit to become public.. Do me a favour

LOL ok

That's exactly what Malki wants you to do.

Where did I say he filed it in 2015?

Reading comprehension ftw...

I love Yoel. I respect him a shit ton and I think he is a true MMA master with the skills to beat anyone.

The thing about this sport now is that everyone is cheating just like the Diaz bros say. Yoel will stop at nothing to win, he is the ultimate competitor and succumbed to the pressure of winning and facing opponents who do a better job at hiding or masking the steroids they take.

Yoel cheated and that’s that! Stop trying to put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a fkn pig.
