He's the lead singer of a straight edge band. You tell him he's on the sauce he'll probably serve you your teeth. His physique screams power lifter. He's not the first hardcore musician to compete in PW.
Here's the guitar player from Death Before Dishonor far right. He was always a big guy. Then he started competing and got jacked once he got serious about training.
I bumped into this dude at a show. Absolute unit. Isn't he the one who's married to the shouter of walls of Jericho who is a powerlifter herself (see the video of "born strong" from madball for reference, haha).
I saw dbd a few month ago on their first europe tour since forever. Brian got really old, they played a little too fast, but still fucking kicked ass. The time where they were frequently touring europe were the best years. One of the few all time great bands of the genre and great dudes, from what I can tell.
On topic: I think the shouter from harms way was more jacked earlier in the band history. Never cared for them as I can't stand his grunting but that's how I remember it. Would bet small amount of money, single digits, on anabolic PED use in the past.
Side topic: in my personal experience, around 90% of straight edgers took a hard break from drugs because of excessive use in the past and/or are posers, mostly quitting this lifestyle after a few months or low single digit amount of years. Estimated 99% of those who frequently mention that they are straight edge or paint x on their hands have serious issues (some of them for a transient time because of puberty) and are phonys whose reasoning is seldom sincere like "just trying to live physically or mentaly healthier for myself" or "just trying to be cool" but often pompous like "trying to reduce harm for all living creatures" while doing absolutly nothing that has a direct harm reducing or benefiting effect to their surrounding environment.
100% of those edgers that act aggressive towards anyone for the only reason of moderate consumption of drugs are losers. Well known fact. Empircally validated through countless replications.
Legend has it hat straight edge originated because the dudes from minor threat unsuccsessfully tried to score booze in clubs while underaged, therefore the x as marker. Won't vow for the validity of that statement
