Rogan disavows Schaub's "all black" comments to Yves Edwards.

I'm surprised that everyone is so concerned with Yves' feelings.

I hear a ton of people slamming guys like Anik, Cruz and Goldberg - saying they're not the best guys for the job.
Some might even insinuate they
It doesn't seem like personal criticism is something unusual.

But I can totally see that it would be more hurtful if someone argues that the only reason you got the job was because of affirmative action.

And I guess people don't care when it's random internet comments, it because more personal when a friend of Joe says stuff about people who could be on his podcast.

I don't think the Planet of the Apes comment can be related to the same issue.
All race related comments aren't the same as insinuating people were hired just to check boxes.

The star wars comment though, that was very similar.

Personally I would argue that they might actually be right. Heck, maybe race played a part in Fox hiring some of the panelists, and Star Wars _was_ probably cast to intentionally have a lot of women.
But one can still question if the reason we're noticing these things is just that we're not used to seeing many black people and women yet. So perhaps it's a good thing someone is making it more normalized.

There are tons of films which have obviously intentionally only cast white guys, but we don't call them out (ok, some SJW:s do) because we're so used to it.

Just saying both camps might be right: some companies might be pushing agendas of hiring black people and women. but the fact that we think we clamp down on it might be saying something too.

And I guess usually the people slamming analysts do not have the same platform as Schaub.

Good analysis. (not some Robin Black abstract shit!)

I only posted the tweet.

But there is audio of him talking about Planet Of The Apes. It's buried in one of his podcasts, about the same week he made that tweet. Supposedly he said things that could be construed as "racist".

Anyone defending Schaub is probably a closet racist.

Got ya.

In some ways Joe's tweet could be interpreted as way more racist, cause it's a sweeping generalisation about black culture (I'm not saying is though).
While Schaub was just talking about specific individuals.

On the other hand what Schaub said can be seen as more malignant while Joe was just making an observation.

I think talking about the culture of races and nations is very interesting in terms of what is acceptable.
Usually it's fine to say negative stuff about some nations ("germans are stiff!" or "brits are ugly suck at cooking". no one minds that stuff) or positive stuff about some races (if Joe had said "I could recommend going to a japanese movie theatre! they're so quiet!" no one would bat an eye) but as soon as you come close to saying something stereotypical and negative about certain races alarm bells start to go off in people's heads.

SCHAUB isn't racist. He's just an idiot. Huge difference. But I can see where people may think he's a racist but no, that's just a moron.

Schaub is an idiot....If you defend him, you're either an idiot who is defending him to push back against SJW PC AGENDA. or a closet racist.

Lets think about this for a second...Lets use logic.

UFC on Fox and Post Fight shows have existed forever in the UFC........Yet this is the only time, or the only time people have realized that all the panel was black....That's literally out of hundreds of shows....Out of chance, all the panel turned out black....I don't see Schaubs problem here, does he actually think they were assigned, just because they were black? lol.......That they decided that this was the post fight show they were gonna do it? lol....Fact is, it was random chance....If Fox had made that panel permanent, then maybe he would've had a point but it was completely out of chance.

If Vice Versa happened....and Im sure it has happened before but nobody paid attn........An All White Panel happened....Schaub and nobody will give a shit(inb4 but but the majority of people in America are white, so doesn't it make sense? They are white but not everybody, if you want to go by exact demographics, expect a lot of white women, 10% blacks 16-20% Hispanics on all shows lol)...Huge fucking double standards.

Look, I understand a lot of idiots on Sherdog and youtube are defending him as push back to the Social Justice agenda....but this story doesn't deserve defending....Schaub was a straight up idiot for saying that....Don't be like an SJW and defend every retarded shit just to piss off the other side.

People who blame an All black Panel and almost everything on affirmative action are like the Minority people, who call everything racist.....Same type of idiot on opposite sides.

Tried listening to the Yves podcast.

Hard to do. Rogan is talking 90% of the time since Yves is boring as fuck and can't string two coherent sentences together.

Another comedian, after being on Rogan's show, said something along the lines of "I just listened to you talk for 3 hours".

Cliffs for this whole saga:
Yves is terrible at his job
Schaub is a moron for expressing that the way he did
Rogan can't stfu

He disavowed. Nothing more to be said. DISAVOWED. And Joe's not wrong about Star Wars, they had a box of crayons and went buckwild adding color.

So it's OK for Rogan to accuse Star Wars of affirmative action.

But not for Shaub to make the same accusation about FS1?

Correct. It's not rocket science, brother. One is changing canon. Try and keep up. Schulb is a tool and should keep his mouth shut. He got his little showtime gig, he doesn't need to beg for Fox to put him on a panel. He's not better than anyone on on the Fox team, anyways.

Ever been to watch a movie with black folks in the audience? Rogan said in that podcast how it's socially acceptable in black culture to comment out loud during a movie, but non black folks can't stand it.

And Rogan isn't far off, a few years ago my boys and I almost got into a fist fight with some younger black guys, because these guys kept having a running commentary throughout the movie
Really fighting over over that? Complain to the manager maybe?

Yves had every right to take issue with what Schaub said. The racist angle is one thing, but he also outright insulted Yves by insinuating that he's not good at his job. I'd clap back at the idiot too. I felt like Rogan did a decent job of not defending Schaub's actions but also not completely throwing him under the bus. He basically said "Schaub's a good dude but he can also be an idiot who does nonsensical shit sometimes," which seems to just be the truth.

So many times haha. I would expect the same from them if I were to be acting a fool for no good reason.

I was literally in a movie a few hours ago where some white guys who fashioned themselves comedians felt the need to provide commentary haha. They seemed so satisfied with themselves too, like they thought the audience would laugh at their stupid comments. Thankfully I think the lack of anyone caring about what they were saying other than being annoyed made them shy away after a while.

I will say though that as a black man myself, while I don't think race is inherently the culprit for talking through movies, from my personal experience we are kinda guilty of doing it more than others haha (obviously not all of us; I don't do it in theaters, and I find it pretty annoying unless it's some fun silliness like the Fast & Furious franchise). I think elements of culture can play a part in it. Growing up and spending time around other black people it wasn't nearly as taboo to talk during movies when we're watching them together, so naturally some of that might make its way out to public places with other races who are not as accepting of it. Of course there are also just assholes that don't care if they are bothering anyone as well, and that spans across all cultures and ethnicities.

I think you'd be surprised.

Oh that’s great

You went to a movie a profiled people “white nerds” before you even sat down.

Did you take a picture and taunt them on Twitter like your fat fallen hero Derrick Lewis? Time to look yourself in the mirror chubby.

So Schaub makes an arse of himself and Rogan suddenly invites Yves onto his podcast to try and fix it. I hope Yves realises that if Rogan wasn’t trying to save his boy he wouldn’t be anywhere near his show.
Yves isn’t articulate enough or funny enough to be continually invited back to his mma podcast. Otherwise he would be featured monthly like Eddie bravo who’s funny and Mexican. But of course you think it has to do with race.
