(jk... that shot from Romero was nasty, it would´ve KOed just about anyone in the division.....And Barboza's chin looks much better nowadays. He showed tremendous chin against Khabib)

Last night basically told us nothing, those punches were brutal.

That said every KO kinda weakens the chin i guess.
 
He got a massive shot right to the temple. And then a huge uppercut when he was stunned on the ground. He is chinny but i wouldnt say he has a glass chin
 
Getting punched clean on the chin by a not exhausted romero can do that to people, nothing to do with Rockhold's chin, more like his defense
 
i was surprised that Luke survived that 2nd round, most would get KTFO. It is not about his chin but his defense and his foot work to get out
 
That punch from Romero would've knocked out an elephant. It isn't really Luke's chin, it's his defense and recovery.
 
I just love how speculators speculate without taking a close look at how hard that punch was, I guess only Luke would have got knocked out by that punch because of his chin.
Anybody else would have laughed at that hard ass gorilla punch. kills me man when people want to drag somebody through the mud after they got knocked down. How about finding some evidence and studies to support your claim before bring up an issue nobody has any facts about. DC got knocked out he has a glass chin everybody, GSP got knocked out he has a chin made out of church glass. lol

Concur about the bad defense. When he gets pressured he always retreats in a straight line with his chin out. Never seen him circle out of an exchange properly.

His chin is decent. If it were glass, those shots that Branch landed would have KO’d him.
 
He gets hit clean by big shots and is doesn't recover quick or have the greatest defensive skills or willing to drop to his back and rely on a ground game like a Tony Ferguson would when hurt.

I think if Romero would have backed up and let him up after the knockdown(in what world though) he would have been fine. He was also off balance when that first punch landed it just looked bad bc of the way he fell.

That second shot though was brutal as fuck though.

Luke vs Weidman 2, Jacare 2, Gastelum, or Brunson is fun though.

Can't remember who said it but I remember hearing that no matter who won their was fun match ups for both the winner and loser.

As for Luke, his chin has always been glass. Try the whole "it's not his chin it's his defense" that every glass chinned fighter is defended with all you want. The guy cannot take a shot and you need to in this division especially when you cut that much weight.
 
Rockhold is chinny, but he got hit by a nuclear overhand here.
 
He ate some other punches before the big shots that put him out. He doesn't have a great chin but its not like it's glass either.
