Rockhold vs Jacare? Thoughts?

If Jacare gets the short notice title shot, whom do you think its in disadvantage with respect to the short notice? Rockhold or Jacare?
 
I think for starters, Jacare will not take this fight on such short notice.

I think if both Rockhold and Jacare have a full camp and fight? It will be epic, and a fight I would consider myself lucky to witness. Either man can win, and they both are in their absolute primes. I would personally favor Rockhold, but can see very probable paths to victory for Jacare.

In any case, we all win.
 
Hope Jacare waits it out and has a full camp to prepare for Rockhold. They've both evolved since the first fight, but I think Rockhold still takes it via decision.
 
It would be Rockhold given that he's prepared for a 5 round fight plus Jacare's knee is a little banged up atm. The only thing Jacare has going for him in terms of preparation is that he's recently had a camp based around fighting a powerful southpaw striker.
 
Jacare is never beating Luke, no matter what the circumstances are. It's simply not a good fight for him.
 
Jacare is definitely at the disadvantage seeing as he just fought. Though he didn't take much damage... Apparently he did take some though.

I had money on Jacare in the first fight, so could have been watching it with a bias, but I thought he did enough to win. In their previous fight I thought Luke had powerful strikes, but he was a little wooden and lacked fluidity in linking combos together and transitioning between striking and grappling.

He's improved a lot since then. He's fluid, dangerous and improvises so well. Jacare is still a monster, but Luke seems to have linked all the pieces of the puzzle together and I dont see him losing by being outworked - He can get rocked with a big shot like anyone, but his game seems so tight at the moment.
 
Rockhold, I think, is somehow still being underrated here. It's not like he wasn't clearly superior the first time, and while both have certainly improved, I think it is fair to say Rockhold is still more dangerous everywhere. I love Jacare, he is a tremendous fighter, no doubt about it, and I would love to see him pull off the upset and hope he takes the fight, but whether it's two weeks or two months, I don't really think he's gonna beat Rockhold.
 
I´d hope Luke Rockhold would win. But Jacare is a beast and very dangerous. Comparing Weidman to Jacare right now feels like Weidman would be an easy fight compared to Jacare. I had huge money on Rockhold aswell against Weidman since months ago before the lines would get worse, but now with that cancelled and with Jacare, i´d rather just watch and enjoy, he´s very dangerous and could definitely win.
 
Rockhold,he can keep it standing and is way better striker then Jacare.He is also bigger,stronger then before.IMO he wins in both short notice fight or full camp with Jacare.
 
These are the two best Middleweights. I lean towards Jacare.

I give the advantage to Rockhold taller superior reach better standup and really good BJJ not Jacare level but still world class. It would be an amazing fight seeing that Jacare could still pull it out.
 
Jacare took zero damage against Vitor. Give him his fucking shot now before he gets fucked again somehow.

Edit: Didn't know he hurt his knee. Fuck! Guy can't catch a break.
 
even full camp jacare won't beat current Rockhold. I believe it's Rockhold's time even Joel Romero even tho i AM a big fan. he would easily get shout down on the wrestling department and forced into stand up battle that he would lose 10/10 times

Rockhold can fight. Hes big for his his weight class and easily out muscles most guys. Jacare is getting old for a fighter. Maybe another 2 yrs tops. Luke would be wise to avoid him till next year just because he is so dangerous. But Luke wins that fight 9 out of 10 times.
