Don’t have any high hopes tbh. The fact that it’s even a discussion is sad. If the UFC is the big leagues and the elite like they make it out to be, they should be compensating and signing fighters of this level outright. Pathetic we even have to speculate they will be outbid.

The UFC is the equivalent of a major team sport league or just another promotion that have a business to run and won't over pay for non needle movers depending on whatever behooves them at the time. It can't truly be both at the same time.

Just the UFC makes sense, tbh. In Bellator or PFL he would have good match ups but he isnt worth that much money for them. Unless he was an Ali client, then maybe he could blackmail them with other fighters get a good contract.

That tweet seems more like a guess, maybe it ends up being UFC. Lots of theories like if it was UFC it would leak but if he's doing a big PC maybe that means its UFC cause its a huge deal though I tend to think he'd do a press conference even if he's going to One.

Who knows, good talent and would be exciting to see in some big fights in US.

The KSW pay would probably be safer in the long term, since there's hardly any threats for him there so he could headline for some years before he's past his prime, like Khalidov did.

UFC is way tougher and he could realistically end up like a Marlon Moraes. On top of the world for a bit then in the matter of 2 years he'll be completely done.

That's the dilemma for elite MMA fighters: security vs take a risk for really big success. If you're good enough to be a dominant star in a lesser org, you'll make pretty good money, reliably. With the UFC, there is a potential for riches (or at least near-riches), but a number of things could go awry. Injury and losing a couple of fights you were expected to win are obvious ones.

It's very rare that the UFC will offer someone big money for their first contract. I assume that's what happened with Brock, but he was a megastar. There must be a couple of better examples, but I can't think of any names at the moment.

How much does he make with sponsor money on top of the $200,000 per fight? Again, he will be making peanuts per fight & sponsorship in the UFC. On top of that he will be at the mercy of UFC match makers. If I were him I would stay with KSW. And if he has children it's a no brainer.

Yeah I think being a mainstay/champion in Bellator is really the only way ufc will pay someone. Cause those guys tend to already have a name in the states and whenever someone is champ in Bellator people always say “Go to UFC” on their Twitter or IG all the time anyway. We’ve seen a few guys come over and become instant hits like Chandler Alvarez and Askren.

Or if you’re an exciting young guy with a solid resume in a talent starved division like Jiri at LHW. Soldic doesn’t fit in any of those right now. UFC doesn’t necessarily need him at WW with Chimaev Shavkat and maybe Michael Morales down the line.

During the post-fight press conference of UFC 268 Uncle Dana was bragging about a prelim-fighter making 400k.
I’m pretty sure he was talking about Alex Pereira, not a bad starting salary aswell..
