Concidering that he was the "hands of stone" boxer, why are 33 of his wins non KOs?

If you compare it to other hard hitters historically, they usually have 6-10 non KOs of their wins and that includes wins past their prime.

Was he hard hitting but not really a KO "artist"? Or why did so many of matches he won go to decision?

Also, who hit the hardest between him, Hagel and Hearns, according to Sugar Ray?

His KO ratio at LW tells a different story. Heavier / overweight Duran didn't have the same pop (even if the likes of Davey Moore and Iran Barkley probably thought he hit hard enough).

So what did he have at that weight?

Gerald McClellan has the best KO to win ratio of anybody I know. 31 wins, 29 KO:s

The guy turned pro as a 120lb 16 year-old, fought all the way up to Light Heavyweight and didn't retire until he was 50. But during his prime as a lightweight he put together a record of 62-1 with 52 KO's.

Off the top of my head, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua both have higher KO percentages. Both are also undefeated, whereas I believe McClellan had 2 or 3 losses? Pretty sure Edwin Valero KO’ed everyone he ever got in the ring with.
