Unpopular opinion: I think the rematch is happening too soon. Both guys are pretty much still the same fighters, so the fight is likely to look very similar. Whitaker has never defended so there’s no real stakes on the line to make this feel like it is more important than than their last fight, or like it’s a do-or-die situation for Whitaker, because he just doesn’t have that much invested into the belt yet. And neither does Yoel, only having to fight one guy to get another title shot.
