Jan is interesting. I always forget about him. I think Khamzat makes a ton more sense than Jan dropping down, but I do think that's at least fair enough that it's plausible if Izzy were to campaign for it.

I think Hill is a 0% chance because of Peireira moving up, but UFC has certainly done dumber things before.

Dana said that Pereira isn't getting an immediate title shot at 205, but that probably means that he is.

Terrible matchmaking. Izzy desperately needs new challengers, so it doesn't make much sense to have Whittaker knocking them off before they get to Izzy. I'm guessing the UFC is focused on grooming Khamzat for a title shot, so they're keeping him away from Whittaker. They should probably do the same for Du Plessis.

That way you milk the trilogy, and potentially set up 2 new contenders (I think Khamzat gets past Costa, but much tougher fights for DDP).
