If not the current real world in western society, then call it a world without safe spaces to protect them, something more like the way the world was for more than 99% of human history, and like some of the world is still today.

People that can't cope with the fact that the world we live in is not a place with "safe spaces" are the ones with problems. You see many coming back from combat that can't adjust because guess what - "real life" in the US is nothing like combat. So yes, keep imagining what you'd do to people in some alternative universe. I'm sure that's really healthy. Here's a more novel idea - find out how to excel in the world that you actually live and function in. This is the problem with most people that are obsessed with politics. They are miserable people and believe a politician is going to suddenly make their life better or they can blame another politician for why their life sucks. Guess what? Winners will continue to win and losers will continue to lose. Over the last 20+ years, my business did just fine through Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden. It will continue to do fine under Trump again.

I agree with most of that and I’m doing fine financially regardless who’s in charge, and they can’t brainwash me no matter how many genders they invent.

But I also have children, so crap like gay porn in school libraries, or teaching my son that his white father is somehow inherently racist against his Latina mother does matter to me.

If I was single with no children, I would be watching this clown world burning, and laughing about it. But once you have investment in the future, it’s a different ballgame.
