Sadly sir...that could happen.
it has, I remember reading how pornhub had to delete a ton of videos because of rape and stuff a few years ago.

The issue is, the loss gets put on the consumer as the prices increase. Store employees should be able to baseball bat the scum right in the face.Nobody should risk their safety to protect Apple profits. Let the police deal with it later.

That is disheartening. I detest that sort of behavior.
On the other hand, I've seen videos (and of course anecdotes) of dudes who will step up and put on the cape at the slightest offense to defend a woman's honor, in some cases, even a stranger.
I suppose both have occurred. I think the biggest factor is ONE person being the catalyst, by stepping up and the rest of the people usually follow suit. It's a psychological phenomenon and usually something I teach. Nonetheless, I would put this example and the OP in entirely different tiers/categories.

lol There are mall cops to handle that my friend.Look I don't care about Apple whatsoever, it's the mentality that worries me.
If a girl was getting raped in the middle of the mall, there would be a hundred people walking by so they didn't get involved...and that my friend, is a scary thought.
I guess.
Im too tired to argue.
I'm all for thieves getting assaulted, but that could easily lead to someone getting shot trying to protect Apple.
If it's your own business, have at it, but I don't think you should expect your minimum wage employees to be prepared to throw down to protect your shit.
Hardly rape though init?Someone just posted a video on here of a girl getting slept by a big dude in the street and all she was trying to do was stop them from stomping on her already unconscious bf....know what happened?
Nothing...a bunch of Ohhhhhs.
Not a single person tried to help her sir.
No we're not sir, but we will have an intelligent discussion and I will have to argue with 20 tards with their shitty takes and attitudes lol.Oh, we were arguing? I thought we were having a friendly discussion.
You're looking at it as protecting Apple, but it's more about doing the right thing.
I read a response from an Apple employee who said the floor display merchandise basically becomes bricked once it leaves the store's wifi range. Also mentioned its not worth risking your life over merchandise. That can be replaced. A life cannot.Looks like the Palo Alto store on University Ave. I wonder if the devices have 'find my device' activated. I'm sure apple could set up all devices to disable outside of the store except for the device location finding service.
R.I.P. thieves.

Me and you will always be cool.
If you want to talk about it still im down, just PM me lol
Have armed security at the door, they do it at convenience stores in a lot of areas now.I'm all for thieves getting assaulted, but that could easily lead to someone getting shot trying to protect Apple.

Then don't buy into inflated product prices? Or go fight crime at your local Apple store to save 10 bucks. The issue is, the loss gets put on the consumer as the prices increase. Store employees should be able to baseball bat the scum right in the face.
Is it the right thing to put yourself in danger to stop someone stealing something? The right thing would be to call the police, but I don't think we should expect the average non-Sherdogger to intervene.
No biggie, I wasn't really that passionate about it, just offering my perspective.
