RJJ considering a Retirement Tour (finally!)

RJJ said today that he is considering a 5-fight retirement tour.

Hopefully it's true because it's about time he retires.

Who do you think the 5 people he should fight be? I say BHOP of course and maybe bring Calzaghe and Froch out of retirement?

5 fight tour? Don't see it happening. Maybe in Pensacola and Russia and 3 other spots he can figjt a nohoper and sell tickets. He just needs to walk away. Nobody wants to see him against a quality fighter.

He's had more then a 5 fight farewell tour already. I love RJJr, but he's got to hang 'em up already. There is Zero point in a third BHop fight btw.

except that they are 1-1, and still in their primes?

Are you a fan, or some cloaked UFC supporter, who hates boxing?

Whatever small amount of athleticism Roy has lost over the years, he has more than made up for in smarts. I'd still pick him to beat anybody not named Floyd.

Well, what makes an athlete great, is their ability to "flow" and allow their potential and skills to truly shine through. In sports sikemology class, they say that experience and practice allows an athlete to enter the flow more readily. So if anything, he is more athletic now with his experience and increased intelligence. Just listening to him analyze boxing on HBO, you know he is a true, experienced master, second maybe to only Floy. But everyone is second to Floy, a true testament to his greatness.

I thought RJJ retired after getting ko'd in Russia

Aside from the guys that have been brutally knocking him out? Not sure if you're just messing around. Roy needs to retire already. Maybe he needs the money?

Lucky punches. Zigged when he should have zagged.

You talking about that KO in Russia?? I thought they released that the Russian fighter was associated with the recent doping scandal, and that the commision failed to mention prior to the fight that they found cement in his glovees, but had been too drunk to report their findings and correct it.

That is an obvious cheat, and nothing off Roy's back.

I wish Roy would just retire. He doesn't have anything left to prove. He's 47 years old and is so far past his prime it's ridiculous. He still has his faculties intact and is coming off of a TKO victory. It's the right time to hang it up and just live the good life. He'll always be attached to boxing through commentating and training. Some fighters just can't let it go and Roy seems to be that type of guy. I just hope he does before he regrets not having done it when he should've.

He does not need another fight with Hopkins or Calzaghe. Nor should he challenge Froch.

Maybe Tarver's fatass at least if Roy loses he can still count on Tarver failing a drug test.

5 fights mean 1-2 years more that's hardly like he's retiring now. It's also not the rarest thing to see a boxer retir 1000 times during his career. He's getting to an age where it might really be over soon though

He can probably keep fighting guys off the street for a while and people will pay for the nostalgia of watching him but his competitive career is already over and I doubt he sees any big paydays.
