Well, this came out of nowhere. Thanks to Karim Zidan, we knew that Fedor would be returning to fight sometime in June but we didn’t have an official opponent. Now, the Last Emperor will officially throw down in Mother Russia with none other than Fabio Maldonado.

“The next appointment of Fedor Emelianenko is marked and will be the organization Fight Nights, in partnership with the Rizin FF. The Russian event will be held on June 17 in St. Petersburg, and surprised at the choice of the Last Emperor opponent. Brazilian Fabio Maldonado , former UFC will be the rival of the former Russian champion Pride in the card’s main event, as it was found the Combate.com with sources close to the organization. The bout will be the heavyweight (to 120kg).” – from globo.com

I don't give a tenth of a solitary fuck about that shit but they need to fucking figure out how to make their product more accessible to global fans. Not only are they not learning from their mistakes....they're somehow making things WORSE.

I agree. It is a step up but could be better. Crazy seeing a cross-promotion of RIZIN and Fight Nights with Fedor airing on UFC Fight Pass live. Hope Fight Nights goes back to the ring for this one.
 
Funny to see both Fedor and Rizin on Fight Pass.
 
It's not gonna be a regular Fight Nights event so don't be so sure it will air on Fight Pass.
 
Wait June? I thought it was Sep? So they are doing one in June and Sep and the NYE? Maybe they can do one between Sep and Dec like the Apr card?

Anyway I haven't seen Rizin 1 yet and a post here already spoiled the Cruichank fight so I am going to cat up in months of posts at Global MMA. Til I see the card see you around my Sherbro's.
 
Absolute waste of time of a match up.

PS: Last Rizin card came off quite boring. But I wasn't expecting much at least.
