News RIP Sid Vicious

Rest in Peace Sid Eudy. Sid was the man.

I feel like Lex Luger and Sid were similar. Both had the physical charisma and "it" factor, until you put them in front of a microphone. Neither were technical marvels, so everyone else always had to do the legwork. But I'd never say either were overrated, considering they did their job and both were champions while drawing money.

What? This couldnt be farther from the truth. Sting was a fantastic worker and was apart of some of the best matches in WCW history. Luger, while he had all the IT things you talked about, was a middle of the road worker. He deserves credit for getting better over the years but he was never close to stings level.

People thought Sid was trying to rib when he said this, but I believe him because wrestling was always second with him. Thats probably the biggest what if about sid ... obviously he was never used correctly or too his potential, but part of that was because he'd walk out to go play softball and didnt care about the business. RIP.

RIP Champ.

Greatest, most convincing heel turn in the history of pro wrestling.

Reread the post, my brother. I said Sid, the person this thread is about.

I think you misread. No one mentioned Sting.

RIP

Despite whatever issues he had backstage, he was over in WWF, WCW and ECW in the 90s.

The guy was a physical specimen and had real presence.

He was also the only one who managed to keep a straight face during the Shockmaster incident.

Sid's promos were awful in retrospect, but the dude came off as being so intense that he could get away with it.

Luger never provoked any real emotion one way or the other.

Rest in peace, Sid Eudy.

Supposedly, Sid Vicious was a superfan of jogging. He was always jogging around his house and when he visited other places.

I was always a big fan. He was so entertaining. Esp when he'd wig out. Seeing a huge guy like that throw a tantrum was amazing to behold.

When he walked out to the ring at Wrestlemania 8 to that booming metal music (which also made me want to get into listening to that) it made a huge impression on me. I always got goosebumps watching that on the VHS tape I had of the event.

I got to see him up close when he showed up at an ECW event out of nowhere.
