Damnit man. He was a blast to play fantasy football with. We also shared the same opinions on anime and one of his posts finally convinced me to try One Piece. I’m going to power through it now for him and see Luffy get the One Piece.

I didn’t talk to him until he picked up on a Naruto reference that I made in a thread a good ways back and realized he knew what the fuck was up.



RIP bro.
 
Awful to hear. Hate seeing young good people pass away. I didn't know him well but from what i saw he was a really nice guy. Life is so fragile. Tragic news. RIP man.

that was my feeling as well. For about a decade he talked about becoming a lawyer like his dad. Worked in a courthouse, got his certificate, got a job in a law office as a paralegal, was going to finally attend law school.

I wasnt as close to him as others in the thread, wish I had gotten to know him better, but he reminded me of my little brother. Just bummed and in disbelief. God knows what his family is going through. RIP Greg

He was honest to a fault and he got his shit for it, deservedly so sometimes as he would walk right into some backlash, but it was all derived from some childlike sincerity and honesty that you rarely find here as everyone tends to mask something or compensate in a way.

I always felt like Greg was Greg. He would was aloof and almost innocent in a way, far from malicious and was worth your time on a tangent. For a few years I lost touch with many people here and just posted in the heavies, but I would see his stuff offline or on a gaming service and just assumed he was doing well. I should have interacted with him more in one way, shape or form. I didn't. I feel bad that I didn't since we spent a ton of time bullshitting back in the day.

The fact the he was progressing in his field as a lawyer and younger than I makes this even more tragic. Life is so short. There's never enough time despite it seeming perpetual when you're mired in some shit.

I don't know, I'm buzzed and rambling. Big loss is all I'll say. Literally and figuratively speaking.
 
@Gregolian and I were both huge Punisher fans, especially Bernthal's portrayal in the Daredevil series. Recently, I've kind of lost interest in the character, mainly because Marvel Comics seem determined to destroy everything that made the Punisher cool AF. They changed the iconic Skull to a "demon's head", took away his guns and made him a fucking ninja. All in the name of political correctness:rolleyes:

But for the next 24 hours, I'm rocking the Punisher av, in honour of my fallen dog-brother. I'll dig out my old Punisher Skull t-shirt, and wear it while I drink a toast to Greg.
 
Damn.

I didn't interact with him much, but it is always sad when someone leaves so suddenly and you get a sense of the impact to those that had him in their lives.

My heart hurts for his family and all of you in this thread that knew him well.
