News RIP Robert Duvall

One of the best actors ever put on screen. No performance was anything less than stellar.

Oddly, one of the worst movies he did showed me what an incredible actor he was. Gone in 60 Seconds is pretty garbage. He has legit one of the worst lines I've ever heard.

"Hes a jackal. Tearing at the underbelly of our fair city".

What utter trash on the page. But when he said it, I absolutely fucking hated the guy he was talking about. You can probably count on one hand the amount of actors that can take a line like that and make it effective.

Terrific actor with tons or range. I am a big Robert Duvall fan and will always be. RIP

I refer to heavy Hispanic fellas as "Oso Bear" as a tribute to Duvall from Colors.

Btw Gene Hackman died about a year ago on Feb. 18. Both Duvall and Hackman were really good friends and pretty much came the same time through their respective careers. Hackman was born in 1930 and Duvall was born in 1931. Both died at 95.

I thought that was interesting.

Also they were both in an absolute classic film together- The Conversation.

Sad to think they’re both gone but glad they both lived long lives. Lot of iconic actors are up there in age

Shit, that's sad to hear. RIP.
