RIP Muhammad Ali

The guy is an idiot. He extrapolates that what's popular on his ghetto ass street must be the most popular across the globe.
If you're aiming at me, cool story captain thug life. The fact that the only names anyone has mentioned are the two all time biggest names in the biggest sport and Michael Jordan, and even then. People think it's Ali. Think about that before making ad hominem attacks.

I live in a perfectly nice part of the world, and it's not ghetto at all. It's the biggest story on the news, and while it's obviously a sad day for boxing, not many sportsmen get that recognition when they pass.

I'll keep discussing relevant things in answer to what someone said seeing as this is a discussion board, not the war room.

i wasnt talking about you

i wasnt talking about you

If you're talking about me, I'm from Sweden and have never watched a basketball game in my life and have been watching countless of football games. I used to play for many years when I was younger. I still think Jordan is way bigger than Pele though. Anyway on topic, Ali is by far the most famous and impactfull athlete to ever live and there will most likely never be anyone that comes even close to being the icon he was. Just imagining what he would have been able to achieve had he not been disabled by Parkinsons is depressing...

End of an era. Rip a true great.

Anybody know which fight I have been looking for of Muhammad ali's or when he was younger as cassius clay.
It was one round, and the guy couldnt touch him at all, i think the opponent maybe landed a single punch, and Ali Ko's him either in that round or the next.
Im thinking it was black and white, as he seemed alot slimmer, and just amazing to watch

He was more than a legendary boxer. What he did outside the ring is just as legendary as what did in the ring. I have huge respect for this man and how affected society and the whole world. There will be no one like him ever again. RIP Champ

Ali was not only a world champion, but more importantly, a human champion. RIP champ.

I've lived in Louisville all my life, this place is about to be very gloomy. Legend.

I grew up there( St Mathews). I suspect there will several public memorials , I'll text my aunt later and find out.

I think 2 people who fought last year would recognised.

It isn't remotely disrespectful to discuss it. It's not like some of the trash people posted.
You mean Floyd and Manny?

Yes, but not like Ali or Tyson.

If Hearns, Hagler, and SRL passed away, its also huge. But not Ali or Tyson huge.
