News RIP Elias Theodorou

I was just thinking about some of these diet fads that some fighters and jiujitsu people go on. Eating too much red meat can increase the risk of colon cancer. I know that one is a popular fad amongst the Jordan Peterson fans.
Please dont mix a brilliant intellectual like Peterson with low level functioning "carnivore diet" fans only because they admire him. The sad part about most "carnivore" fans is that their idols on Youtube or whatever are near all on extensive amounts of PED.

I do hope Theodorou had a peaceful ending with his family. Always very tough to go that young,

I hate this disease so much. I know billions go to cancer research, but it's simply not enough. For all the advances in medicine, from a layman perspective that lost a few loved ones to cancer, it feels we're still in the Middle Ages when it comes to it
You have no idea how much progress have been made, it is really impressive. Death rate by cancer has dropped for 30 years and is still dropping fast.
Millions of people are alive today after a cancer diagnosis that would have 100% killed them 30 years ago. But that costs a lot of money.

While he sometimes has fair points, Peterson mostly mixes his personal beliefs with his statements.

Heard the news, he was great on sosha media. Hit me hard, I won't lie...Great guy, never met him

RIP bapa

Big part of the reason is just catching it earlier.

Pretty sure stuff like prostate cancer and brain tumours are like 10 years in the making at least, so if colon cancer is anything like that, beginning supplements 2 or so years prior isn't going to be the cause.

Elias, most likely was just really unlucky.

RIP.

With some genetic abnormalities, typically slow growing cancers (like colon cancer) can grow much more quickly. But then the cause would be genetic anyway.

But a great deal of the fall of the death rate is due to preventive measures, isn't it? For instance, lifestyle changes (like declining tobacco consumption), early diagnoses etc. As far as I know, for the great majority of cancers, if you have a stage IV diagnosis, that's probably going to be your cause of death.

For cancers linked to smoking and a few other things (asbestos) yes, but otherwise cancer numbers have rather increased because of ageing populations. The cancer 10 years survival rate has doubled since 1970 and is still increasing.

Idk if anyone posted this. Didn't see anything on the first few pages.

Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

It was reported a few weeks back I think but still always appreciate someone posting just I'm case as it at least means a merge/bump for those who didn't know

He was a real nice guy on tuf and I enjoyed most of his ufc career. It's a damn shame he died and I get why he kept it secret. I hope his family are OK. I imagine he pulled a lot of tail and I hope he had a really fulfilling life before it ended.

RIP Elias, you handsome bastard
