Rip David Lynch

I'd been binge watching his films, some several times, and his interviews, for the last month. I found him quite likeable.
This is quite sad for me.

Love this video on collaborating to compose the Twin Peaks theme.

When Angelo passed over I was quite moved by his 2-word eulogy, that communicated everything that had to be.

And I looked up again his interview after the passing and re-discovered these quotes:

Funnily enough I think the same way now, after a mystical sequence of events over the course of 3 years, initiated possibly by his work that inspired me to see more than what appears and to be open to it.

I started listening to this again just the other day, to chill / fall asleep to, wondering how he might be doing since he stepped back from filmmaking due to his health issues...

His movies and Twin Peaks were magic to me since I discovered Lost Highway on my parents' VHS back in 1998.

RIP you goddamn legend!

Strangely I have never followed DL as much as I would've liked to. When I think of him, Twin Peaks and other movies pop up in my mind. R.I.P. omfg, they,'re dropping like flies lately

Rip to a prophetic story teller/visionary on western culture & dynamic/interplay of shadow/light of the human condition.
Twin Peaks is my favorite series, with Coop being the Archetypal Goat.

Sad news. One of the most strange and demented minds to ever make movies. Eraserhead is still one of my favorites to this day.

Rest well Mr Lynch

Thanks for the movies Mr Lynch!

And thanks for sharing all the great highlights from his work and mind

The Elephant Man is his best movie by far imo.

This scene is one of the most powerful scenes of all-time.

Among so many in that movie.

Only Bourdain and Lynch have ever got to me in terms of some famous person passing. I normally couldn't possibly care.

It actually lit a creative fire under me yesterday thinking about it.

One of my fav songs of his

Poor soul
Spit upon that
Poor soul
He never knew what hit him and it hit him so
Poor dunce
He pushed back the pigmen
The Barbs laughed
The fool is dead
Poor dunce
He's less than within us
The brains talk
But the will to live is dead
And prayer can't travel so far these days
The talk of your life
Standing so near
To innocent eyes
Poor dunce
Swings through the tunnels
And claws his way
Is small life so manic?
Are these really the days?
Poor dunce, poor dunce
Poor soul
Spit upon that
Poor soul
He never knew what hit him and it hit him so
He pushed back the hitman
Poor soul
Poor soul
Poor soul

Fuck that. I haven't even started creatively yet. January 15th is some insane creative day forever now.
