Pat Summit is still the epitome of greatness in women's basketball history.

Pat Summit is really about as iconic as you can get in terms of enduring female sports figures.

Fuck that... All gender shit aside, she is beyond legendary.

Pat was one of those ladies whose presence and demeanor commanded respect.

I know she battled Alzheimer's for a few years, but dang, that was sudden. I remember selling her smokes when I worked at a convenient store near campus one summer. For everything shitty that UT represents, she was the exception

I thought she was going to be around for another 5 years. A shame, hopefully Pat didn't suffer too much.

Peyton Manning did a great job of talking about Summit. He rarely talks outside of the status quo (much like Jeter) but he opened up on this one. Mike Golic did a pretty fitting tribute to Ryan. Mike Singletary too.
